Easy to apply, good quality, great colorway

I ordered this to extend the life of my old ProTech pickleball paddle. This product is much better than I expected. It was easy to determine what size to order, and there were a lot of colors to choose from to make my paddle look different than other people's paddles in the rotation rack. The tape is high quality and feels like leather. It's been on my paddle for 2 months and is still holding up. It was also easy to install. I have a new paddle on order and I plan to install edge guard when it arrives to save the edge from getting scraped up.

Bought these to protect the top of my pickleball paddle. Pros: 1. Very sticky 2. Easy to install 3. Offers good protection Cons: 1. The design make it hard to center it on the edge so there are parts that are uneven around some part of the edge. Tips: 1. Measure the overall perimeter of paddle before applying tape otherwise both sides of paddle may not exactly match since the tape will be too long. Overall, I like the additional protection it offers to the paddle guard, also helps keep the lead weight in place.

I love the unique design and it really protects the edge guard well. When playing with 50+ ppl at our local pickleball park it is great to pick my paddle out of the crowd in the queue. I used the 23mm wide for my 16mm paddle and it fit perfect. I weight my paddle and putting this tape over the weights was not an issue. The tape is very durable and lasted about 6 months until I chose to change my weight setup. The tape is very sticky and not easily reusable which wasn’t an issue for me. The install only took a few minutes and the back side paper is perfectly split in half to easily center the tape on you paddle.

Exactly what I needed to protect my new paddle. It went on easily, stuck firmly, and gave the edges a clean, finished look. The material feels durable and flexible, so it wraps smoothly without bubbling or peeling. Strips are long enough to cover entire edge of paddle. I just trimmed mine for the top half. Overall, a simple but super effective way to keep your paddle looking new.

This product is not for anyone who is concerned about paddle weight. Using the recommended 26mm width on a 16 mm paddle, the weight of the paddle increased by 0.3 OZ. This is a big deal if you are concerned about paddle/hand speed. Also I found the 26 mm width to be an over kill for a 16 mm paddle, unnecessarily wide. I was expecting a high tech thinner material with lighter weight. However, if you are not concerned about weight, this product would be extremely protective and would be worth 5 stars.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I specifically wanted a solid orange color. Most sellers don't carry orange. Stickiness: Here is the major problem I have with this. It doesn't stay attached to the paddle edge. It sticks on and in a few hours it starts to peel off, particularly around the edges. I suspect this is old stock? UPDATE! After being approached by the seller, who offered me a set of replacement guard tapes, I am happy to report that new ones are very sticky and stay put. Size: The size was good. ~ 29 7/8" by 1 1/16" Design: The design is good as there are cut outs to prevent bumps in the tape. Fit: The fit is good Weight: They are very light , no weight issue. Durability: It is a robust, thick tape.

Tape was fairly easy to install and works as described. Rather than scratching the paddle edge, the guards are taking the brunt of the action.
