We recently purchased this kids' electric dirt bike for my sons 5th birthday, and we absolutely love it! The bike is easy to operate, making it perfect for young riders. It has speed settings which was awesome for managing their speed while learning. It offers a thrilling experience while being safe and manageable weight for beginners. The battery life is impressive, allowing for extended playtime without frequent recharging. Overall, it's a fantastic investment that provides hours of fun and excitement for our kids! We loved it so much we bought a second one for our older child.Son 5 yrs old 45lbsDaughter 8 yrs old 50lbsOldest daughter 11 yrs old. 80lbs.Easily carried the weight of each child. Speed slowed a bit with the 11 yr old, but it was more so a height thing for her. Shes too tall, but still rips around unbothered.

This is my favorite buy of the year! Purchased for my son for his 5th bday. Its quality is top notch and looks and runs like a $1500 bike. I love that it’s electric as we just plug it in at night- it keeps its charge all day as he rides all over and it’s never died yet. There are three speeds on it that the parent can set it at, we only use on the 1st set because honestly that’s fast enough for this 5 yr old right now. It has been a great motorbike for him and the size & weight is perfect for him!

My son rides his bike every single day and loves it. It’s pretty quick, easy to set up and seems like pretty good quality. Charge time is a little slower but that’s what you get going electric vs gas.

Buyer beware! The chain guard broke in the first hour of riding, the battery stopped holding a charge after 1 month. I just noticed the front shocks have frozen up after a month as well. I have emailed and called the manufacturer several times and haven’t gained a response. As far as I can tell there isn’t any customer service to make good on the warranty the bike comes with, therefore the warranty is worthless.

EDIT: We cobbled the two broken bikes together to make one good bike, and the seller shipped our defective one back before sending us a replacement.The new one arrived perfect, and the kids have been LOVING them.They're wonderful bikes, and hold a charge as well as one would expect for Li-Ion batteries. Just don't over-discharge them!--- original review ---One bike arrived with a dead battery that wouldn't accept charge. The other had a defective handlebar clamp whose threads pulled out while applying minimal clamping force - far less than needed to hold the bars in place.Craftsmanship was otherwise excellent. Far better construction & assembly techniques than the bikes we bought (and returned due to defects) from Target.But QA/QC is lacking given two consecutive & unrelated quality escapes.

I contacted Hiboy support, and they were incredibly responsive, polite, and helpful. Cherry from the support team followed up quickly, confirmed the replacement part, and had it shipped without any hassle. She even provided tracking and regular updates throughout the process.The bike itself has exceeded our expectations. My son (7) absolutely loves it. The multiple speed settings gave him time to get comfortable, and the performance on both pavement and grass has been impressive. It’s quiet, powerful, and built to last.Overall, between the quality of the product and the amazing support I received, I would highly recommend the Hiboy DK1 to anyone looking for a great electric dirt bike for kids. I have waited 3 months to write this review due to the nature of the product. My 8 year old son rides this every single day for at least an hour.He is so in love with this electric dirt bike. We got this for his birthday and it is the best money I have ever spent.Setup: there is none. Product comes fully assembled, just charge it upFirst use: EAAAAAASSSSY on the throttle! Hold your kids hand as you hover over them and slowly turn the throttle so that they feel what they’re getting into. My dude sat on the bike and ZOOOOOM (scared all of us for a sec, then he was incensed)! I wish I had better prepared him.The speeds listed on the product page are truly the speed that the bike travels. The light is extremely bright, actually illuminating a path in the dark. The horn is loud enough to be heard from inside the house.He has not fallen from this bike even one time. He falls from his pedaled bike as much as any other kid. We started on low speed, immediately switched to mid and within 2 days he was riding on high speed with ease. He wears a Razor brand motorcycle helmet. No previous experience with e-bikes or dirt bikes.He gets at least an hour and a half of use out of it at a time riding at top speed and rarely stopping. I am so impressed with the battery life.We had to replace the back tire because my son was braking too hard which caused the rubber to wear over time. I easily found the assembled replacement for $40 on their Hiboy website and switched it out with ease!Last year, he asked for a go kart for Christmas and the price was very close to the price of this bike. That karts battery wore down within a month and just collects dust now. This is the reason that I have waited to review this product. If the go kart is yin, this dirt bike is yang.He has made new friends in the neighborhood just being outside so much over the summer months when it would have been too hot to pedal his manual bike around the block.If you’re comparing several e-bikes and ruminating on reviews, this is your sign to go for it!
