Fits the 2014 1.4 L Cruze LT like the OEM turbocharger
I recently drove my 2014 Chevy Cruze (83k miles) from Idaho to Florida to gift to my niece for her first car. A day after arriving to Florida, the Cruze's check engine light came on...the OBD II scanner showed the dreaded P0299 low turbo boost code. Even though the car ran smooth, I noticed the power was reduced during high acceleration. I ordered the A-Premium turbocharger based on reviews. For anyone who has never replaced this turbo charger, set aside a full day to do the replacement. Most of the fittings and hoses will reattach will little effort. However, the oil return pipe and coolant return pipe were frustrating to attach...mainly due to the tight-fitting area and location. Other than those frustrations, the A-Premium turbo fit and construction was a very good! Be certain to add about 20 ml of synthetic engine oil to the oil feed bore before attaching the oil feed pipe and spin the exhaust turbine to distribute the oil into the turbo journal bearings before reattaching the catalytic converter to the turbo exhaust chamber. Regarding that pesky oil return pipe that I mentioned, I found that it was easier to bolt the tube to the turbo housing (torque only to 71 in-lbs) before installing the turbo and guide the outlet of the oil return pipe into the hole of the engine block until it snapped into place, as I lowered the turbo into place. Overall, the install isn't complicated or beyond the capabilities of a home mechanic. A flexible head ratchet and 10-inch extension bar makes the installation much easier! You will need Torx, reverse Torx, hex socket set, and 10mm & 13 mm deep-well sockets to remove the catalytic converter, since the bolts extend a little too far beyond the nuts for a standard hex socket. You will need to drain some of the coolant for this job, so be certain to have Dexcool II coolant (50/50 dilution) on hand to replace the drained coolant. It has been several days since I installed the A-Premium turbochager and the Cruze is running very well. In retrospect, the original OEM turbo was still in excellent condition...the turbo shaft had no noticeable play, no cracks around the wastegate or turbine, and the wastegate was in good physical shape. The issue was that the actuator (silver can-like structure with the arm) diaphram was starting to fail which failed to fully seal the wastegate against the housing. I could have replaced the actuator for $35-100 and saved myself from the headache of a turbo installation. Overall, I would highly recommend the A-Premium brand for this turbocharger! I'll make future a update once my niece puts some miles on the turbo.

Not expensive, works great.
Thing is still working great after a year of abuse from a teenager. Absolutely no complaints after 28,000 miles.

CHEAPER ACTUALLY MEANS MORE MONEY OUT OF YOUR POCKET
DO NOT USE THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD STUDS WITHOUT MEASURING FIRST!!! I have a 2015 Chevy Sonic LTZ 1.4 Turbo , I ordered the complete kit and paid extra for fast shipping, that was a mistake as the product didn’t arrive infact I was told it would arrive 1 week later on the day I was supposed to receive it. I cancelled the order immediately and just reordered another kit as that was going to get to me faster. I was told I would receive a full refund.Meanwhile im without a car since its taken apart waiting for the turbo.. New Turbo arrived made the rookie mistake of not measuring the studs and started installing, sure enough they were too long and of course got stuck! 2 broke off… another trip another dollar, $180 dollars later welder in hand , I got those suckers off, praying the dang studs didn’t damage the block. Than noticed the boost solenoid hose was loose, literally snapped off when inspecting.. more money leaving my pocket… Meanwhile prior to getting my turbo this company messaged me probably because amazon contacted them with my frustrations, “Zesty” kept arguing that my original order was arriving on the day that my replacement order was noted to arrive.. I explained over and over that no that was my 2nd order the original was cancelled and I wanted my full refund. “Zesty” kept saying no cancel the 2nd order mind you I had a coupon and paid less for the second order so of course that was the one they wanted to refund.. definitely didn’t agree and they finally said ok id receive my full refund.. Needless to say its business day 5 and no refund yet… now im waiting on new oil cooler inlet lines might as well swap those out along with the gaskets… this is not an easy DIY no mater how straight forward it looks.. hopefully when im done everything holds up and turbo actually works as it should, also yeah the kit comes when gaskets and crush seals but they fit loosely not like oem, and there is no diagram to show where they go.. still wondering what or where the copper ones go… if you’re car doesn’t have them you’re going to be confused…I’m definitely not happy with the service or product so far.. New updaTe the inner seal is now leaking through!! And yet again getting the run around from the seller on getting a replacement.

Low cost and good quality in my experience.
I researched replacement turbochargers and decided to take a chance on this one. This one is low cost but the quality looks good. I have about 7,000 miles on it and it has worked well with no problems. I did take care to carefully prelubricate the turbocharger before I started my car. There are a lot of videos that tell how to prelude the turbocharger, I recommend watching a few and pre-lubricating this on installation. I also recommend replacing the vehicle's turbo oil line and drain line.

Do not attempt to install this it is to long on this car reviews tell you to bend and force it your asking for trouble thats why they don't last. UAP napa sells a gates model fits perfectly takes 2 minutes. The other cruzs i don't know just giving you a heads up on this model only. Not saying this is bad product they need to remove the 2016 limited from there list. IT DOSE NOT FIT DON'T MAKE IT FIT. I sent it back.

Perfect fit. Banjo seals don’t fall off. The facrory bolt was an allen key socket and hard to get a good grasp on. The new one is a torx which made installation so easy. Great quality.
