Industrial-grade anemometer for HVAC professionals
This anemometer offers features beyond those found on standard models. It measures wind speed and temperature, directly displays airflow in CFM/CMM, and includes data storage and software for in-depth analysis. While it may offer more than some users need, it's an excellent tool for HVAC technicians and professionals who require detailed airflow measurements.

A budget friendly anemometer for basic use
I've always been weary of cheaper measuring equipment, and tend to save up and shell out the money for name brand test and measuring equipment from known and trusted brands in the industry, and I set my expectations for this little anemometer to reflect its low cost and lack of reputation from the manufacturer. To my surprise, this meter actually performs well given its budget friendly price. The meter includes a hard carry case, as well as the meter and blade assembly and a usb cable for data logging and downloading to a computer. The meter itself is quite easy to use, and offers "good enough" precision for those looking to get a decent ballpark measurement of airflow or air speed. However, there are some issues that were present on my unit that make it unsuitable for any serious use. The desktop software is old, clunky, and causes much frustration as it seems to not like running on a modern day PC. The blade assembly is also an issue in itself, as it is *not* properly balanced and clearly shows a heavy spot when taken away from airflow. This can cause inaccuracies with measurements, as the unbalanced rotor will prevent it from spinning as freely as possible, thus giving inaccurate measurements. This isn't a huge issue for a hobbyist looking for a cheap anemometer to get a good enough reading, but for those looking to use this meter in a professional setting where accuracy does matter, look to a unit from any of the known brands in the industry.

3 of us and many tools have failed to get the battery cover off so cannot use
As you can see from photos, we unscrewed the battery cover and tried every which way to get it open. So far have damaged the cover, without getting it out. Bent a fork, tried screwdrivers, knives, tried re-inserting the screws a little bit and then levering against these. Battery cover won't budge.Very annoying. To add insult, there is a QC (quality control passed) sticker on the battery cover which is faulty!!Hope that helps!

Useful HVAC gadget
This KE-856A Anemometer by Kethvoz is loaded with features normally found in high $ premium instruments. It worked straight out of the box. Just plug-in the supplied 9V battery (by opening the battery compartment), and plug in the low-friction bearing measuring device to the USB port on the side. The supplied data logging software/App is an advantage for the pros.Essentially. it's for my home-use - to check various vents, therefore a straight/direct reading from the meter works for me at this time.I havent had a chance to compare the accuracy of this KE-856A with anything else, though, however, the ±3% is more than adequate for my use, and it measures the temperature too.Comes in a nice carry-case. Overall build quality is good. The display is sharp and clear - with a backlight.A rechargeable cell would have been nice.Good value.
