Make sure the hold is secure before releasing.Important Tips:- The weight placed on the Perch stands should be much less than the weight of your TV. Make certain the TV does not tip back from the weight of the item on top.- Observe the Perch from the side for several seconds to make sure it isn't dipping from the weight. If it does remove the items on top and readjust the legs. You can set the legs so that the Perch tips forward slightly and the weight will bring the Perch level. When the items are placed on top, make sure the Perch is level.- Test that floor and tv stand vibrations won't dislodge the items on the Perch.- You can use both included Perches together for a wide item or separately for two separate items.6 month warranty. Work pretty good
The fact that you get 2 6x13 shelves for what many competitors are charging for 1 shelf is in itself worthy of a couple of stars. The fact that the shelves have 2 supporting legs instead of 1 unlike some of the competitors is worthy of a star. I also like that whomever designed this positioned the knob that tightens the legs in an easily accessible location unlike some of the competitors therefore another star.Since the back of my Tv is really smooth, like the one pictured, I will be adding 4 little black angle brackets with double sided tape to the back of the TV to add additional support to the legs. I truly believe that this will aid in providing additional strength as well as prevent the feet from slipping over time. Had the manufacturer thought to include such an item I would have easily given a full 5 star review.

Good deal on two sturdy shelves.
I really liked that this particular item, it comes with two shelves for about the same price of other shelves being sold as a single item only.The shelves seem to be very sturdy and I like that the legs are fully adjustable and include a locking/adjustment knob.Unfortunately these only fit one of my TV's. I have an older Sony set that is about as deep as this shelf is, thus the legs almost hang straight down, thus there is nothing for them to brace against. Maybe I can macgyver something later to make it work.

Great idea. Could be better though.
I love the fact that they allow me to still put stuff on top of my TV. Not thinking I could still take advantage of the space provided by the "pre" flat screen models is one reason I didn't make the switch earlier. Installment was quick and easy, which was perfect. I wish that it came a bit longer and wider. I feel the stabilizing arms could be stronger; things tend to fall off as some people walk pass the TV. Hope to be able to purchase the new and improved models---ones with heavier material and/or stronger supports---in the not too distant future. Don't forget the longer, wider feature.

Great, Simple, and Affordable!
Holds my soundbar above the tv very well. It’s easy to install other than the tightening knob. It gets pretty flush with the sides making it hard to tighten after about halfway. Overall I’m very satisfied though and it is super hidden and exactly what I was needing.

LapWorks Perch / Shelf
Great shelf for the top of one of my work monitors.The installation took less than a minute. It looks nice and is pretty sturdy.I may cut a piece of drawer liner to give it a non-slip surface. Overall, good bang for your buck.

Works great! easy to set up in minutes.
it needs to have a lip on the back edge to insure things don't slide of . Easy to install and puts the speaker out of the way without blocking the DVR or the satellite box.

Who knew I needed these?!
These little shelves are great! Took about 30 seconds to install each one - super easy. I put them on my 65" TV. I think I could fit 4 on it. I just wanted to be able to display something on top of the TV and they worked perfectly. Can't speak to how much weight they would hold.

Great for getting things out of the way.
I have ordered 2 sets of these. One for a Christmas gift for my boss. She has dual monitors and loves them! I then ordered a set for my 50 inch tv. So nice to have things up high.
