Well, if that is what your want and a better flavored side dish, then you need to have the vermicelli portion accounted for and that is what this product does. I started out by reading the back of the Rice-a-Roni box for the ingredient list, coming up with a first cut of my own, and then progressively changing it till I got the flavor I wanted. This item is a three roller on that score although it would make a wonderful ingredient in a flavorful homemade chicken broth soup and who doesn't love that?
