Mikki Dog, Cat Matt Master Rake - Matt and Tangle Remover - De-Matting Comb Tool for Pets - 8 Blade

I have a long haired stray cat "Bob" that comes to visit - use this comb on him a lot - he was extremely matted, to the extent where I have had to cut the mats out in the past. This comb is brilliant for keeping on top of his coat without hurting him and now he looks less be-draggled and a handsome chap

This is far too fierce for our spaniel, and the blades are twice as long as they need to be. Sure it will be fine for dogs with much thicker and sturdier coats, but wasnt for us, hence the four stars. A side shot would have been very helpful here for buyers, so here one is!

Does the job but the bladed part of the comb tangs could be sharper. It’s good that the ends of the comb tangs are rounded and the cutting edges well away from the ends so very unlikely to cut the skin. However the bluntness of the blades means rather than cutting through knots and clumps in the fur it tends to tug. Which obviously the animal doesn’t find comfortable.

We went through a lot of sets of different brushes and once I found Mikki I purchased all the products! Very easy to use on a poodle type dog.

Fantastic item,great for deshedding and dematting the dogs fur, Even though he is groomed daily my boy was still prone to the occasional dreadlocks , this tool deals with them so effectively. Not only that but having a second layer of hair he would have required to have been seen at the groomers for a trim come summer, but no need now as this copped effectively with that, my Springer Spaniel never looked so good.

It wasn't as easy to use as I'd hoped. My dog doesn't really like me using it so I don't use it very often.It can be good to find a matt in the fur that needs removing then I snip it out with scissors

Extremely good brush for getting the undercoat out of Double coated breeds or dog are all poodle breeds which are prone to matting.

Blades are very sharp and hard to use.
