Great price and heavy duty
I like that the rope is already installed and it looks pretty heavy duty. This will come in very handy

modify and it works well
I added locknuts and flat washers to the bolts, with some loctite. now they cannot come apart. Next I added some good paracord 1/8''. now it should lift well over 250 lbs, but would NOT recommend it. used it to lift 70lb engine parts for painting. but you might ask if i went through all that, why not just get a $25 one LOL.

rope is too thin for most heavy duty work
rope is too thin to really work with compared to its weight rating

Poor product
The line that came with the blocks was useless.

Depends on use.
I use this for my Shade Sail in my backyard (not to hoist anything) and it is great for that. Started to rust after 3 years of being outside constantly so that is reason for 4 star. I wanted to post because I see bad reviews for hoisting so I thought I would give a good review for a different use. It allows me to attach and pull tight my Shade Sail without having to climb a latter to connect it and works well for this. I am buying another for another Shade Sail.

We replaced the rope
The pulley worked as expected with one exception. It lifted item twirled in the air. This was resolved by purchasing a marine braided line.

EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED AND EXPECTED.1
I read the bad reviews and compared them with the product. I found that it was true you need to check the top and bottom nuts and put either lock tight or I just put some silicone on the tread end to make sure they do not come off. But for the price and the job I bought them for they work GREAT. BUT DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO LIFT 2000 LBS. Maybe if the line was tied to a jeep so it doesn't cut your hands off it might try but the line used would fail. I wanted something to pull up and hold 5 gallon planting buckets full of water and planting mix. No more than 80 lbs and they were fairly easy to lift off the ground and while I do not like poly rope it will do until I need to replace it with nylon. GREAT EQUIPMENT FOR MY NEED AND PRICE.

Great for the value!
It does what it says, but easily gets twisted when trying to haul a load up.
