Truly one of the highest quality pieces of computer hardware I've come across. Nice finish and made to close tolerances. I purchased this to adapt a SSD so it could be used in a Kingwing drive rack in one of my older builds. Turned out to be good solution for this scenario and at a reasonable price too. I looked at other adapters only after installing this one so guess I got lucky but the Fenlink adapters high rating steered me to this one and its well deserved. Saved me a lot of time

This is a very well made bracket that has a clever feature. When you mount a 2.5" SATA HD or SD on it the small circuit board on the bracket effectively realigns the new drive's connections to be in precisely the same location they would be on the 3.5" drive this bracket is meant to emulate. That allows this bracket to be used in systems where a drive is supposed to slide into a single connector in the back of a drive bay. Your newer, smaller drive uses the small circuit board to make that connection perfectly. It also works in systems where that isn't necessary, and its solid construction makes it a winner in those cases, too.

This SSD mounting kit worked great in my Mac Pro (early 2008) model A1186. Apparently not all drive mounts are created equally as I found out the hard way. I bought two of these, one for the Main Operating System Drive and one for a dedicated Audio Drive in my recording studio. Great mount for old Mac Pro's. Quality construction & perfect mounting solution.

best SSD mounting bracket i've used so far. i have installed a few dozen SSD's in desktop systems as well as the occasional [traditional spinning] laptop disk. most of the adapters are cheap, some are hard to work with with small openings for drive mounting screws, threaded non standard holes and ones that make it impossible to line up data/power connectors in Dell or HP mounting trays, this just works and allows way more air flow.i am taking one point off for the metal they used, feels like cheap tin. if they made this out of aluminum i would have given it 5 stars, even if it cost an extra dollar or two

This is probably the nicest bit of computer hardware I have ever seen, over-engineered to an extraordinary degree. Perfect fit, extremely sturdy, and it's even attractive! The cast aluminum frame is actually a work of art. Great pairing with an SSD drive. You probably don't NEED something this nice to mount a SSD, but you will enjoy doing so.

Comes with all the screws (4 to mount the SSD, 4 to mount the bracket into the rack - make sure you use the smaller screws to mount the SSD). Holes are perfectly aligned - no modification required. Bracket and converter places the plug in the correct place to plug in the data and power cables. I don't know why Amazon doesn't recommend this bracket alongside the Samsung EVO series! Solid, cast aluminum bracket, gold coated contacts on the converter.

Purchased this adapter to upgrade my 2008 iMac hard drive from a 3.5 inch mechanical drive to a 2.5 inch solid state drive. All the fittings from the Apple supplied hard drive transferred over to the adapter with no issues and fit even better than the 3.5. This is my go to adapter for these types of upgrades! Highly recommended!

Bought this to use a SSD in a hard drive caddy. It sets the connectors on the SSD to fit in a 3.5 inch hard drive caddy. Works perfect.
