Having struggled with compatibility issues in the past, finding a backup camera that seamlessly integrates with my Joying headunit for a 2012 Subaru Impreza was a priority. After encountering setbacks with two previous cameras, I finally found success with this model, and it has exceeded my expectations in several key areas. First and foremost, compatibility with the Joying headunit was flawless. Unlike my previous experiences, where configuration complications hindered the setup process, this camera synced effortlessly with the headunit, providing a hassle-free experience. Whether the compatibility issues stemmed from user error or specific settings within the Joying system, the reliability and performance of this camera were unmatched. The picture quality delivered by this backup camera is nothing short of impressive. Whether during the bright light of day or the darkness of night, the camera captures clear and detailed visuals, providing confidence and clarity while reversing. The night vision capabilities, in particular, stand out, ensuring optimal visibility even in low-light conditions. While there is some distortion due to the wide field of view, particularly around the edges of the screen, it's a minor inconvenience that doesn't detract significantly from functionality. When it comes to quickly checking what's directly behind the vehicle, the distortion is negligible and doesn't impede usability. Setting up and installing the camera was a straightforward process, thanks to its user-friendly design and clear instructions. However, one notable drawback is the size of the camera, which limits the downward angle and prevents visibility of the actual back bumper. This limitation can be problematic when attempting to back up into extremely tight spots, necessitating extra caution and reliance on mirrors. In summary, this car backup camera offers reliable compatibility with Joying headunits, delivering clear visuals day or night and a straightforward installation process. While some minor distortion and limitations in downward angle exist, the overall performance and ease of use make it a worthy investment for enhanced safety and convenience while reversing.

Easy to hookup but disappointed in the picture/video

Works flawlessly, love the addition to my car. It has good quality video and is a great back up camera.

Actual video quality is good, but within 2 days it has a cloudy spot…. Oh. And the plug that connects the camera to the king cable that goes to the front of the car is HUGE!!! Goodluck getting that thing through smaller factory grommets. Needless to say….it totally sucked to install, and now it’s acting up, and it’s too much of a hassle to replace. Don’t waste your time and money on this trash
