Great film but poor sounding dvd
I ordered this dvd with Arthur 2 and was looking forward to seeing the film after so many years. The picture quality is excellent, however, the soundtrack on the print is at a very low volume. Usually, I have the on-screen volume set at between 14 and 18 for dvds, but to get adequate sound (not loud) I had to crank-up the volume to 30 which is very disappointing. When I ordered the dvd the cover was the same as advertised with this review, but I received the edition with a red cover and the disc is only in mono - so maybe Amazon have sent me a poorer copy than the one that I ordered.Anyone thinking of buying this, please make sure it is not the copy with a red cover - you will be disappointed with the sound quality.

What a movie. I laughed copiously. In fact, I saw the movie, in tv, a long while ago and always remember the Linda's father, when she told him she met a guy (she was referring to Arthur), her father asked who was that bum and she said he was a millionaire, her father said immediately "you have my permission to marry him". I used this many times when one of my fb friends says that she met a guy and this is a serious relationship, I say: if he is a millionaire you have the permission to marry him.The dvd is region 4

Hugely Enjoyable!
Sometimes when one revisits a previously enjoyed movie unseen for a lot of years, there is a tinge of disappointment. This was definitely not the case for me with "Arthur", which still seems very nicely put together and wonderfully acted. Dudley Moore (Arthur), and Liza Minnelli are beautifully matched, and John Geilgud, Moore's acerbic manservant, Hobson ("You little s***!" uttered in world-weary voice is one of his many memorable lines) is brilliant. Hugely enjoyable.

Fantastic acting
A favourite which takes me back to my youth in the early 80I wish I'd never seen Arthur 2 On the Rocks. This film is definitely the best and shouldn't have been given a sequel.

Isn't that the funniest thing ever?
The title of this review is a line from the film, and I thought it totally suitable. This film is a real gem. If you haven't already seen it (has ANYONE not seen this?) then you really have missed something. Dudley Moore plays a multi millionaire drunken playboy who "plays tennis and fondles women", but "does have weekends off".Nobody plays a drunk as well as Dudley Moore and his antics still amuse after what must be well over 30 viewings. In case that sounds excessive please bear in mind that there are so many great 'one liners' and funny incidents in this film that I am STILL discovering things I missed after over twenty years. The scene with his prospective father in law in the company of a moose's head still has me falling about now.I can't end this review without mentioning his butler, played by the wonderful John Gielgud. Fantastic casting - it's worth watching just to hear him swear!Definitely one film I'd grab if the house was burning down.

What a laugh !
Excellent dvd ! Think that I may invest in the dvd "ten", also another Dudley Moore epic, shame Torvill & Dean stole the Balero track for their ice skating theme.

Hilarious, classic comedy at it’s best.
Love this film, it has everything you’d want in a comedy.
