I got this tabletop easel for my father who recently retired and wanted to take up painting as a hobby. Some assembly is required to put it together and you do need a hammer if you want to follow the instructions carefully by pushing the screws into place. The easel's internal storage compartment serves both as a place to hold a few paints as well as collapse the stand portion into itself. The easel is made entirely out of wood and feels pretty robustly made. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this easel and my father will certainly get a lot of use out of it as he continues to enjoy his retirement painting away!

This is an excellent "pochade" box, especially for the price! (I've paid 3x as much for a box half as large.) And it has just as sturdy and well-constructed a design as the expensive guys -- including dovetail corners, an expandable easel stand, adjustable tilt, adjustable inside organizer, substantial faux leather handle, small plastic "feet" to protect furniture -- plus, it's made of beautiful, solid wood that's lightweight and lacquered. So, what's not to like?I'm not sure I would use this indoors very much for painting. (And forget using it as a display easel.) But it's the perfect size for a portable art box, and this one is especially well-suited for plein air or outdoor painting. It holds almost everything you need in a very manageable "suitcase" design, and it's big enough to easily support larger pads of paper or canvases. The wingnuts make all the moveable parts very easy to adjust and the shiny gold hardware/latches seem reliable as well. There are no pullout-trays that come with some boxes but they're really unnecessary with a box of this size. Minimal and easy-peasy assembly required. So, if you're itching to get outside and do some plein air painting, this is the pochade box for you!

Both the wife and younger kid are in serious desire of this kit. It's well made, put together nicely, and has some well done design. It's joined and put together nicely, no issues that I have found. I like this stand!

This easel came and overall, I'm quite pleased with it. Got for my very artistic 8 year old. Here's my review:PROS* SUPER easy to assemble. It's just 4 hand screws to put together. Took about 1-2 minutes total and only takes your fingers.* Adjustable. And easy to adjust at that! Just tighten the screws to hold at the angle you want and has a nice extender for taller canvases.* Sturdy wood, especially for the price. Personally, we're trying to reduce buying anything plastic, so I love that this is wood.* Interior divider space to store paints, brushes etc.CONS* Slightly weird smell when you get up close, but I think it's just the wood glue. I have a sensitive nose.

Got this for my child who loves to paint and draw. The whole thing took only a few minutes to put together which was just attaching 4 screws for the support arms and for the shelf at the bottom. Has plenty of storage inside and is lightweight but sturdy. Very happy with this so far.

My grandson loves to draw so I decided to get him this easel. He loves it. It is very easy to get into position. You can store your supplies within the box and then close it with latches. The inside has a black mat that will keep all of your supplies safe. The easel is very well-made. It is lightweight and easy to carry, but is very sturdy and secure.
