Didn't have any issues, waaaay better than uncle Ben's 😉
I was not expecting it to actually inoculate my spores in all 4 Jars without any containments, or drying out. And even more surprising, it lasted a month in a closet before I even introduced a syringe.

Skip the all in one grow bags and use these
Beyond my expectations. I've been fighting the all in one grow bags, also trying various 'sterile' grain bags and having nothing but failures with contaminated or not genuinely sterilized grain bags. So I switched to the jar method and holy carp! What a difference in reaction to spores!I highly recommend applying your research to this method. I'm novice at this point, moving towards more intermediate research and advanced on the horizon. Keep it Magical! Boomers on deck here

All 4 jars colonized, rye looked fully hydrated.
The media could not be loaded. For a first time mushroom grower, all 4 jars colonized with no contamination nor stalls.I shook up the jars to speed up the process at about 20% colonization. Took around 3 weeks and a half for it to fully colonize.Since then I transferred them to a mono tub.The good thing is now I can sterilize my own grain but I’ll probably get more grains and jars for further use.Great packaging and fast shipping

I have ordered this brand for years, changed only twice, this is the BEST.
I have ordered this brand for years, changed only twice, this is the BEST. Only one box came contaminated but I'm very pleased. Best to order when cooler temps outside. When its August and it takes 6 days to deliver--I'm going to get contam.

The jars worked but the tubs did not
I bought these with the intention of using the fully colonized grain in a monotub to grow my mushrooms. I used two jars per tub and had two tubs. The first tub pretty much immediately became contaminated with two kinds of mold. Ok fine, that happens so I threw it out. The second tub remained pretty strong, I got nice pinning of the mushrooms coming through the substrate and it looked like it was going well. Until one morning I woke up to take a look and to fan the tub, there were two mold spots that were pretty large. After all that work I put into this batch I lost both tubs. After doing some research the consensus seems to be that the grain spawn is the culprit, now I have no way of verifying this but if other, more experienced mushroom growers say its the grain spawn then I have no other option than to assume that it was indeed the grain spawn. The moral of the story is just be careful who you buy grain spawn from. You dont want to spend a bunch of money just to lose your harvest to mold because the grain wasn't sterilized properly.

I’m impressed with these.
As a very newly beginner mycologist, these were just what I needed! They arrived in good condition, and out of eight that I have inoculated, only one got contaminated, and I’m pretty sure that was my fault. I added a little bit of water, thinking that it looked too dry. All of the rest of them did fine!

Not sure what happened. Didn't work seemed too writing jar.
Inoculated these and nothing ever grew. Not even a little bit of mycelium formed. Kept in same place with same temps as other bags and jars but out of all four I orderd not one worked. Always had at least 1 of each batch work. As far as I could see I know at least two were I inoculated with good fresh mycelium other two were seeded with spores. Not sure what happened.
