Difficult
It took 50 fifty minutes to unpack the bike pieces. Broken Styrofoam, cut airplane ties, torn bubble, wrap, etc. made it impossible to return the merchandise if it was unacceptable. Then things got worse.. The written instructions were pictures without any instructions, and were virtually useless. There were some good videos on the Internet; however, there was no audio, and the video was done so rapidly that you had to watch it multiple times to determine what needed to be done. It took me approximately five hours. to assemble the bike. Once assembled, I inserted the batteries provided in the package and the computer did not work. Frankly, I was ready to toss the bike out into the curb. Instead, I decided that I would try my own batteries and lo and behold the bike began to function. Speaking of function, I love the bike. It is. smoothly, comfortable, and most enjoyable. For a company to suggest that the assembly is easy, is absolutely false, particularly given the fact that the instructions are virtually worthless. Also, unless you are young and strong, the bike unit itself is heavy. And difficult to lift. And if you are young and healthy, then there is no reason to have a recumbent bike. Any event, despite my negativity, I am pleased with my purchase.

Good for my use case
Put simply, I just wanted a recumbent bike to use while I watch TV and/or listen to podcasts as opposed to just sitting on the couch/laying in bed - I already go to the gym so I wasn't looking for an intense workout machine. I spent a lot of time looking for a recumbent bike which is not the easiest thing to do especially if you use an extension like Fakespot which gave these reviews an F. I gambled because 1) hard to beat the price and 2) because Yosuda has a somewhat decent reputation in the exercise bike space.Pros1. Packaged well (a lot of tape, styrofoam, and zipties but no obvious scratches or dents) and relatively easy to assemble. There is ~5 minute Youtube video and it can be done solo in under an hour (I could totally see 30 minutes if you have already done it before or are in a rush)2. I'm 5'10 and there is no heel touching the floor as you may read in other reviews for other bikes.3. It's compact which is great for my apartment but also spacious enough. I thought by seeing that grandma in all those promo pictures on the Amazon page that I would have needed to put the seat all the way back but that is not the case. Definitely think someone taller would be able to use it comfortably as well.4. The electronics work. It's a simple non lit LCD screen but time tracking works pretty well and it will stop if you're not peddling so you're only getting active time. It does reset once you reach 100 minutes. Heart rate sensor has been pretty accurate for me.5. It is quiet. Not like whisper quiet (and I do feel I can hear something in there but it easily get drowned out with media) but you're not going to disturb neighbors.6. Easy to rest my iPad (even with its case) on (and I do mean "on" and not "in") the device holder.7. Sturdy but lightweight - doesn't move too much when peddling fast but also not something I intend to do very oftenCons1. Tension is not very impressive and I'm sure I set it up correctly. There is a difference between 1 and 16 but I did not notice much of a difference between 1 and 8 for example. There are other bikes that promote 8 levels of resistance and I'm sure the amount is probably similar to this. Half the reason I'm docking a star.2. Seat can be uncomfortable but that's to be expected especially at this price point. Also I tend to be on it for awhile given that I'm watching TV and listening to stuff. Actively looking for a cushion.3. Pedals seem to unscrew when peddling backwards - the other half of the star loss4. In the instructions, states it's not for therapeutic purposes - again, not for me but given the grandma, it could be misleading.5. Also in the instructions states that parts should be lubricated monthly (which I wasn't expecting) but gives no indication on what's best to use and how best to use it without damaging the equipment.Given the lack of reviews and Fakespot's F score (as of this writing), I wanted to write this review because I'm overall pleased that the gamble paid off. If anything goes wrong, I'll be sure to update this review but looking forward to this affordable bike decreasing my sedentary time!

Great exercise bike, great customer service
I got this bike to help me recover from an upcoming knee replacement. It took me a few hours to assemble, but it wasn’t that difficult. I did it myself in spite of bad knees and arthritic hands. The video they provide does help fill in the detail that is lacking in the user manual. Before purchasing this bike, I read a lot of reviews about the tension not adjusting well or at all, and lack of tension in the pedals. I was a little concerned about that, but saw more good reviews than bad, and have been researching exercise bikes for a while and decided to go ahead and get this one. I want to thank the reviewer who mentioned that their belt had to be put back on and they got great help after contacting customer service. There were a number of reviews that mentioned good customer service, and I think that’s what swayed my decision to get this bike. The first time I used my bike after assembling, I felt something kind of pop in the fly wheel thing, and immediately lost all tension on the pedals. The belt had come off — I could actually see it dangling inside by peeking in the small opening where the left side pedal is attached. I contacted the seller and got a response within about 8 hours of sending a message. They have a YouTube video that shows how to access the belt, and how to put it back on. I have to say it wasn’t as easy as the guy in the video makes it look, but I got it done, and now the tension and the tension adjuster knob work like you would expect. For the price, this is a great exercise bike that I expect will be perfect for my knee rehab. It’s quiet, and very sturdy. I’m tall (5’10” with long legs) and this bike could easily accommodate another 5-6” of leg length. Very happy with my purchase.

Sturdy and compact
I purchased this for knee surgery rehab, and it was a good choice. It’s a sturdy and compact piece of equipment. I am six feet tall, and I can use the bike comfortably. I would not recommend it for your primary fitness needs.I am not mechanically inclined and asked a friend to assemble it. He rated it as easy to assemble. There was one washer missing, however. So, in short: a good machine for the price.

Not bad for the money.
Update: Oops! Just realized I reviewed this but never received from Amazon. The original order never made it and Amazon cancelled. I ended up ordering directly from manufacturer. Similar pricing with discount.Original: It’s a bike! Does what it is supposed to do. Easier on my back and butt compared to a regular excercise bike. Seems to rock a bit when I ride it but wife hasn’t noticed. Almost like it is not level. Fairly easy to assemble. If it lasts a year, I’ll be happy and might upgrade to a higher quality/higher cost recumbent. Low price is nice but is evident in lack of accessories, cup holder, etc.
