The Best Orbital Sander You’ll Ever Buy
Every tool company has its “go-to” product — the one thing they absolutely nail. Milwaukee makes the best cordless drills, in my opinion, and for Bosch, it’s this orbital sander. Hands down, this is the best orbital sander money can buy. I run a wood shop and have gone through dozens of different brands of orbital sanders. This is the last one I bought, and it will probably be the last one I ever need. It’s so good that I own more than one — not because they wear out (they don’t), but so I don’t have to swap sanding discs in the middle of a project. It’s become my go-to sander. Performance: Pair this with 3M’s new sanding discs (I think they’re called Cubitron), and it becomes incredibly effective. The dust collection is solid, it cuts clean, and it doesn’t bog down. Bosch absolutely nailed the design here, and you can see it in the reviews. Variable Speed Control: My favorite feature is the adjustable speed. If you’re working on a delicate project, you can dial it down and take it slow. Or if you’re sanding late at night in your garage, you can keep the noise down. Anyone who’s ever sanded a big surface like a farmhouse table knows orbital sanders can hit a “frequency” that carries through walls. Being able to slow it down makes a huge difference. Case or No Case: Don’t bother paying extra for the plastic carrying case. Orbital sanders are awkward to store in a box anyway. Like most people, I just wrap the cord around it and set it on a shelf. The case doesn’t hold much, and you won’t use it. Bottom line: If you’re serious about woodworking, stop second-guessing and just buy it. Bosch knocked it out of the park with this sander, and when you pair it with 3M’s discs, that’s all you’ll ever need.

Lives up to the name
I’d call this a light-medium duty tool, meant mostly for finishing work, and I’m very satisfied with it so far. I’ve used it for maybe 25 hours in the short time I’ve owned it, and I’m still pleased. I bought it because multiple other reviewers had commented on how well the dust containment worked, and that was imperative to me since I have a small workspace. The dust containment has lived up to the reviews, and sometimes I turn it on just to suck up dust I’m made while hand-sanding. It has variable power, and the maximum is solidly adequate for the duty level of the tool. The variable motion is effective, and it won’t leave marks unless you push down on it or leave it against the work while switching off. I’ve found the shape and surface of the grip surfaces to be very comfortable no matter how long you use it. The tool is also just barely heavy enough to sand most things under its own weight, which is a necessity. A feature I like a lot, whether it was intended or not, is that the balance of the weight of the motor vs the grip is such that it is very easy to maneuver and control when it’s being used on something other than a horizontal surface. Finally, it feels rock solid. I’ll admit that I haven’t dropped it or really challenged it’s strength in a meaningful way because I haven’t owned it for that long, so I can’t prove it, but it feels just like all of the other sturdy tools I’ve had, and the motor seems to cool itself effectively enough that I’m not really worried about the motor. Great tool, and I look forward to the thousands of hours I intend to put on it.

Good sander, Would use Porter or Dewalt over this one
I bought this Bosch unit to replace my Dewalt, which lasted me a few good years. I had a Porter before that. This Bosch works fairly well, is quieter than the others, and produces less vibration on my hands than previous units. Also, the dust collection is better. All of that said, I would go back to the Dewalt or Porter if I could. The sanding and random orbital functionality on the Bosch unit leaves swirl marks that the others did not. I am not clear as to why, but I consistently get these marks using the sander the same way I have used previous sanders.

Great balance, excellent dust collection, and worth every penny
I’m really impressed with this sander. The first thing that stood out was how well-balanced it feels. It is comfortable to hold, easy to control, and doesn’t make your hands go numb after a while. The build quality is solid, and for the price, it feels like a much more expensive brand. The dust collection system is fantastic. The suction through the microfilter actually works. It pulls in most of the dust instead of letting it cover your workspace. Emptying the filter is super easy. It connects well to my dust collection system, but the filter works best for most of my applications. Performance-wise, this thing has cut my sanding time way down. The variable speed control is smooth and has a lot of precision both when you’re using 60 grit or doing finishing work. It leaves a clean, even surface with minimal swirl marks. Overall, this sander has a ton of quality for the money. It’s comfortable, powerful, and easily one of the best tools I’ve bought for the money.

Fantastic Orbital Sander for the Price!
I used to have a Craftsman Mouse and after decades, it sort of fell apart, so I decided to get a Orbital Sander to replace it. Oh, how I wish I had gotten this years ago! I did a lot of research before choosing this Bosch and I'm really happy with my purchase. The handle is very comfortable and fits right in my palm. It is very powerful for such a small sander and I appreciate the Variable Speed. There's a little dust catch, or you can connect it to a vacuum. Replacement sanding discs are super easy to find, since they use a universal size. Just line up the holes, stick them on and you're all ready to go. For the Price, you simply can't go wrong with this Bosch workhorse. I love this fantastic sander.

Handle is a bit big.
Handle fits my hands but may not be great for small hands. Otherwise it works excellent. The dust collector works better than my previous experiences and I like that I can hook it up to a vacuum.

This is my first random orbital sander and it gives smooth and efficient sanding. The handle is very comfortable to hold for long periods and it's very lightweight compared to sanding with my multi-tool attachment. The dust collection system is very efficient and it had reduced my cleanup significantly. I still wear a mask but this really does its job well. The cover is a bit hard to remove though so be careful when cleaning or else you'll have fine dust everywhere. I wish the canister was a bit larger but I do like the option to use my own shop vacuum. Overall, it's a solid choice for DIYers like myself

Esta grande pero es liviana, tiene velocidades y trae su estuche y sus accesorios completos. Es bastante silenciosa en comparación con otras marcas que he usado. Excelente opción si buscas una lijadora de calidad.

!20V!!! How can this be supplied in the UK - machine committed suicide on first use. Now hopelessly damaged . This is a dangerous option to not DIYers like me. I shall be complaining in no uncertain terms. Not to mention the damager to my dining room table!!!!!
