So much better!
Flings recently modified their recipe and made these significantly better than the original, so if you tried them a long time ago or have never tried them, I definitely recommend getting this new and improved formula. I think they taste much better, and while you certainly can't replicate a Pop-Tart exactly without having equivalently bad macros, I think these get pretty close to a good toaster pastry with the added benefit of 10g protein, only 150 calories, and without a bad aftertaste. I sometimes have them as part of my breakfast with a protein shake, and sometimes I have them as an afternoon snack. I also take them with me when I travel, because they're a nice snack on the plane. Very glad they updated their formula and will definitely continue buying these. If I had to complain about anything I would say that the frosting on top can be slightly too sweet at times, depending how much you get in a bite. I think they could sort that out pretty easily though, so they can take that as my flavor feedback. Also, it would be nice if the pouches inside were labeled, because when I take them with me in the car or on the plane, I have to remember to write on the outside with a sharpie which flavor it is 😄

Disappointing, uncomfortable and embarrassing
I bought these hoping to find an alternative to the crazy expensive but very tasty "Pop Tart's" from Legendary foods (Legendary overpricing i think). i ordered the three pack sampler and eagerly opened them when they arrived. The first issue is that they looked nothing like the picture on the outside of the box. I can only guess that after sitting in the summer heat in the delivery truck the icing must have melted away. The second issue was the taste. Those of you on KETO know very well those dessert-type low carb foods that taste like chemicals and this is certainly one of them. it also had a weird mouth feel that was similar to the Swerve sweetener. I'm not sure how to describe it... kind of like touching your tongue to a 9volt battery without the shock, or having tinfoil in your mouth. Heating it up made it worseLastly, and most importantly, the pastry didn't sit well in my gut and caused an INCREDIBLE amount of gas. Not as much as sugar-free gummy bears, perhaps, but it was pretty bad and i was banished away from my family for a quite uncomfortable evening and that is all ill say about it.I desperately wanted these to be good and now i have three boxes of expensive garbage can filler.Do yourself a favor and skip these, or at the very least, don't buy more than one to try it. I warned you.

Pretty good !
I was intrigued by this product and the ingredients. After seeing them on social media, and decided to give them a try. My husband and I thought they were pretty good. I’m not sure if we’d purchase the hot chocolate again. We liked them enough to try other flavors, but weren’t overwhelmed with them.I liked that this was a shelf stable, 10g protein item I could keep in my bag for a snack or breakfast on-the-go. I liked that there was not added sugar, so it may be a great item for my family member with diabetes who likes traditional toaster pastries. That being said, sugar alcohols do cause me some GI upset so I have to be careful when and how much of it I eat,These are VERY satiating and filling. My husband and I were both really happy with that.I think the texture was more chewy and dense than traditional toaster pastry. It’s more like a fudgy bar. Not good or bad, just something to be aware of.The chocolate flavor was good and satisfying but not overly sweet.I’ll share thoughts in other flavors!

Better Than Expected
I was pleasantly surprised by these Flings as I didn't have high hopes for a good chocolate taste. These are a great treat when I am craving chocolate but still want to be somewhat responsible with eating! They are low sugar and carbs but still have a decent amount of protein. I even got my teen hooked on them as she needs more protein but likes junk food too much. They are heartier than a pop-tart and definitely seem better for you. To me they are also about the same cost as protein bars so it is whatever I am in the mood for. I also want to try the other Flings flavors now.

Terrible texture, overly sweet
I ordered a variety pack when I spotted them on a flash sale. I got strawberry, cinnamon, and chocolate. I normally get Legendary Foods pastries, but my regular flavors were out of stock. These are the only two brands that offer a protein pastry, so the comparison is obvious. The first thing I noticed was texture. I tried two of these, one from the package and one heated up per the directions. The texture is like pie dough that has been overmixed, is very hard, and is far too thick. The pastry is unpleasantly tough and difficult to chew. I tried each flavor, and all of them had the same texture.Flavors-all three flavors, in terms of comparing to Pop-Tarts, were good. I thought the cinnamon flavor was particularly good, with the strawberry running a close second, and the chocolate not far behind. However, I also found all three of them to be cloyingly sweet, and I even found it difficult to finish two of them, because they were so sweet. Little kids or those new to keto may find them appealing, but I found them way too sweet. My other criticism is the macros. At 10g of protein per pastry, they are half of the protein that’s in one Legendary Foods pastry. They are slightly lower in calories, but I’ll trade a few calories for twice as much protein, less sweetness, and a more cake-like texture.I’ve had these for a month, and I’ve only eaten four of the twelve. I probably won’t eat the rest.
