Great Mead Yeast
I've used this yeast in a couple batches of mead and it turned out great. The packet was good for 3 1 gallon batches and lasts a good amount of time before it expires, much longer than I would have expected.

Best Yeast For Brewing Ginger Beer
Simply put, the Safale US-05 ended my need to mix dry ale yeasts with wine yeasts to get a nice crisp flavor from 8% ABV ginger beer. The Safale delivers its promise light fruit tones, which I've used to counterbalance my heavy-handed inclusion of ginger to my ginger beer recipe. The temperature range, 59-75, is perfect for San Francisco, which is basically 67 all year around. One potential limitation, not sure if it's ingredient or technique specific or not, but when ABV went above 10%, there was a tart flavor imparted to the brew. As it's ginger beer I'm brewing, I cannot say for certain what this effect would be on a wort, but I thought I'd add it in as just a potential pitfall for those seeking to make barley wines, you sick, sick, sugarsweet-beerloving basterds.

Great Ale yeast
One of the least obtrusive yeasts I have brewed with. Totally stays out of the way of your malt and hops allowing the bears other flavors to come forward. Very reminiscent of another major brands liquid California Ale Yeast, yet less than half the price. A bit of a slow starter. I recommend a large yeast starter especially with high gravity ales.Very temperature sensitive, keep it in the upper middle of the temperature range or it can become sluggish. Needles to say it didn't like the cold temps here in Fort Drum, NY.A solid yeast would recommend to anyone

Good product
Worked well with my beer. I had no problems with it and the beer came out well. All in all a good buy.

Works well
Bought to make Ginger beer, worked well, only refrigerating it didn't stop it, it continued to work building an amazing pressure. I only used an 1/8 of a tsp for a gallon, I can only imagine the explosion if I used the whole package! Have plenty left to make more.

Good for fermenting cider.
Made a delicious hard cider using this yeast and fermenting for a few weeks. The yeast ate through most of the sugar by the end of the second week. Very good strain.

This is a great product and is very similar to the strain used ...
This is a great product and is very similar to the strain used by many breweries across the USA. I believe it is the same as the Chico strain from Sierra Nevada Brewing. This is a great all purpose yeast for many different styles (IPA, Stout, Imperial Stout, Barleywine, Pale Ale, etc). This yeast is very reliable over multiple cake re-uses and is capable of reaching a maximum of about 12.5% ABV (depending on a number of factors). I highly recommend this yeast.
