After hip surgery, I was able to use this straight away to help get in and out of bed, or into the car to go home. I struggled with pain and our bed is quite low when you can't move well, so this was a real help.

This was purchased to aid movement of leg after knee surgery. It helped to lift the operated leg onto the sofa, a stool or to get into bed, which is nigh on impossible to do without assistance and a lot of pain. It's fairly priced and sturdy. It also helps with assisted bending range of movement during the more advanced stages of recovery. I can recommend as a practical aid that reduced pain levels when performing these manoeuvres.

I got plenty of advice from friends and family about my upcoming hip replacement surgery, so i knew i should get a few helpful gadgets for getting around afterwards. This lifting strap is the best invention ever for post-surgery!!! I checked out a bunch before settling on this one. The straight piece at the bottom of the foot loop is very helpful to keep the loop open when trying to slip it over your foot. The handles along the strap make it easy to hold as you lift your leg up. The best part is kind of hard to describe, but its not just a floppy canvas strap. It can be held out straight, it holds its shape like its a stick, or it can be bent as needed. i hooked it around my neck sometimes to take it from room to room as i hobbled along with the walker. And being able to keep it straight was also very helpful when trying to get your foot in the loop. I used it to get my leg up into bed, up onto the couch, and in and out of the car. This simple gadget is absolutely essential for recovering from hip surgery and probably knee surgery as well. Get it, you will be glad you did!

This is an absolute necessity if you have any type of leg injury/surgery. I just had a knee replacement and have struggled with being able to lift my leg however this strap has made a complete difference. It is sturdy, bendable and so easy to use. It makes it so easy to be able to lift my leg to get in and out of bed, vehicles, assist with exercises. Definitely recommend this product!!
