Does this have an upholstery nozzle? I want a vacuum which will clean dog hair from the edges of my carpets

Sorry, but no! There are two for floor and walls’n’corners hanging on tube close to hand “which is handful” But I replaced this with my old Electrolux with the nozzle you need. It perfectly fits and this machine works much better than my old one on my Turkish carpets 👍 I believe you can find that nozzle online for fiver or less, but this machine does the rest better than any (trust me 😉)

Can I A new filter for this as my little boy has put holes in the existing one whilst it was drying

write to AEG usually very good. As a temporary measure in the mean time if it is the foam filter try matching the foam from any shop selling foam and make one.
