The package had everything you need to replace the battery. The battery itself comes with the adhesive and a plastic film to keep the battery cells aligned to fit inside the laptop .It requires to find the right YouTube video and some practice.The battery is installed now for a little more than a month with great performance.

Not for the faint of heart - you need to exert quite some force to remove the old battery from the macbook, but this product comes with all the necessary tools and some double-sided tape for the new battery. Plenty of youtube videos with step by step instructions. Takes about 20 mn to replace. Recommended
