Go for it ! (update, not so sure)
A one to one comparison with another popular brand. They are quite different, this brand uses a stiffer plastic and is more roughly embossed on only one side, the other is softer and embossed on both sides. The stiffness of the plastic, results in a slightly less tight fit, in this case I tested on two identical size pieces of cheese. Can't say if it has practical consequences, but that slightly less tight fit, might mean that mold could built up in extreme circumstances. The other brand(s) have been tested to keep my cheese mold free for more than 6 month. The weld seems solid, but different than the other brands I have used, which look even more solid - but I feel confident, so far, that the Foodseal brand will work fine for my sous vide cooking. To my mind it is a solid product, I'd buy again if there is a saving over other brands. Service has been exemplary. I had to change my order and it was dealt with withing hours, well packed and delivered ahead of time.If you do not use vacuum sealing for sous vide cooking, there are alternatives using different vacuum sealers and thinner and cheaper bags, that will work just as well for keeping your food fresh in the fridge and freezer. To my mind these heavy duty vacuum sealers and bags are overkill, for that kind of simple storage. Vacuum sealers with nozzles are generally cheaper and you use normal thin freezer bags, a better and cheaper solution, for the everyday household, who do not cook sous vide. If you do sous vide you have to use the heavier embossed bags, like this.Just one day has passed, and the cheese test is showing depressing result. The other brand(s) are holding a tight seal, but the Foodseal brand has lost its vacuum.. I really had high hopes. I'll do more testing, before I reduce the rating further. It would be nice to get some kind of response from the manufacturer.

Apart from that the product is good but as I don't get the number of bags ...
these are sold as 5m length rolls - I need to cut 50cm lengths to make bags. I had thought I should get 10 bags from each roll but disappointingly I only get 9 bags with a leftover piece of about 12 cm which is of no use for me . So it looks as if each roll is short of the stated 5m length. Apart from that the product is good but as I don't get the number of bags I need it works out slightly more expensive for me..

Good value and versatile.
Recently invested in a good quality temperature controlled water heater that I use in various sized cooler/chill bins. Have been using these food sealers with good quality non-professional vacuum packer for sous vide slow cooking. They are working well; with a bit of experience, nice to be able to use the right size package for the food I am cooking. Also, having just catered for a 60 people for a wedding, all the good leftovers were immediately vacuum packed and frozen. No waste.

Good
Very good. Only issue, the plastic is not as stiff as the food saver versions so a little harder to get the edges in the slot...but you can get it to work overtime

Curling makes it hard to use
Way cheaper than the official ones but once cut curls instantly making it a dawg to feed into the sealer. Price to cost good value but seriously trying when trying to use.

Ideal
I needed wider roll/bags for meat freezing and these are ideal, can take a decent size roll of meat, they seal well and seem pretty strong. Also made smaller bags to take fresh maize corn to freeze while in season, they lay across the bags nicely so no need to use much of the roll, in general a good buy and good quality
