Loved this, excellent and very well made, pieces are easy to remove from sheets, joins together well. IMPORTANT! When fitting the mechanism than moves the keys, make sure everything is well sanded and smooth and loads of wax so that it moves very freely, if not the keys won't operate. Other than that everything went together well and finished product beautiful.

Am really enjoying this puzzle - the instructions are detailed and use the same symbols as other Robotime sets, but I have also had to consult some online step by step videos for clarification of few times. Some of the pieces are very delicate so care is needed as spares provided are limited. Over all a nice balance of challenge and relaxation, with the added bonus of a lovely decoration or gift when completed.

I had a blast putting together this amazing piano music box. It helped me to take worries out of my head and gave me lots of satisfaction! Will buy more of these soon.

Quality is surprisingly good! All pieces fit perfectly as it should be, which I was very surprised…! I spent 5-6 hours making it as I read the instruction wrong when first started! The instruction manual couldn’t be a bit confusing as there are several languages on the same page. A very small amount of instruction could be a bit ambiguous but I managed to solve it without any problem! I will definitely buy this collection again because of the good quality :) high recommended!

This wooden piano is not easy to make at all. It has very fiddly little pieces than can break easily and the instructions take some real concentration to be able to follow them. However I really enjoyed making it. A real bonus is that there are lots of spare pieces so if you do break a small part then there is bound to be a spare one. You do need to be careful with the larger pieces though as there are no spares for them. The only real issue I have is with getting the gears to run smoothly. They just keep catching and I have waxed them and used the sandpaper but I can’t work out why they don’t turn, it is like they are getting stuck somewhere. I finally gave up and decided to assemble it all anyway. It looks great and I have a real sense of pride that I managed to get the pieces in place even if it doesn’t play the music!!

Really enjoyed putting the bits together. The push fitting means that no gluing is required. The pieces are precision cut and easy to remove using a small tool. Some bits were a bit fiddly to put together and had to be careful to not snap the lugs, but there are plenty of spare pieces. In the end only had to use two of the spares. Need to take it slowly and ensure that the pieces are the right way around. Despite this, did end up having to reassemble some pieces. I did find that changing the order in which the pieces are fitted helped to make fitting a couple fiddly pieces a bit easier. If I had to find a fault, it is that the music box only last for around 15s before having to be wound again.

I love these Rokr or Robotime kits, have done a few now and they are really well thought out. They can be a bit fiddly but that's what makes them fun and accomplished. Good quality wood, laser cut so hardly need any sanding. Some come with wooden Jig tools to assist in the delicate build that can be used on other kits. Need a few more designs as nearly done them all!

Fue para un regalo, le gustó mucho aunque lleva su tiempo armarlo y tienes que tener paciencia. El engranaje no encajaba del todo pero la melodía suena perfectamente. Queda muy bonito una vez montado.

Un vero gioiellino il cui montaggio ha richiesto diverse ore, tanta pazienza e il prezioso aiuto delle istruzioni. Complimenti a chi lo ha progettato trovando soluzioni geniali dal punto di vista strutturale ed estetico. Ma la cosa più importante è che ci si diverte e che il divertimento cresce man mano che si va avanti. Last but not least: la scelta del carillon con il famosissimo e copiatissimo Canone di Pachelbel.

Ik gaf het cadeau aan mijn man. Drie dagen later was het klaar! Het staat prachtig op ons dressoir. Heel blij mee!

Hiho, ich habe mir diesen Bausatz als schönen Zeitvertreib im Weihnachtsurlaub geholt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Ich bin sehr davon fasziniert, wieviel Grips drin steckt, einen Bausatz so zu entwerfen, dass man "nur" mit ca. 10 mit Lasern vorgeschnittenen Sperrholzplatten so passgenau (!) fast ausschließlich durch Steckmethodik ein so kleines und funktionales Konstrukt entwerfen kann. Inzwischen habe ich vier solcher Bausätze zusammengebaut und erkenne auch Unterschiede bei den Herstellern, was Passgenauigkeit, Liebe zum Detail, sinnvolle bereits berücksichtigte Ersatzteile und Konstruktionskonzept angeht. Die (aus meiner Sicht baugleichen) Modelle von ROKR und - wie hier -ROBOTIME liegen da wirklich vorn! Es gab nichts zu kleben, ganz wenige Metallteile und sonst funktioniert die komplette Mechanik inkl. der wunderbar mitlaufenden Tastatur mit dem beiliegenden Holz. Ich finde zwar auch prima, wenn diese Technik so sinnvoll und funktional mit Elektronik aufgewertet wird (der Flipper begeistert mich am meisten), aber leider kommt man damit auch sehr schnell in ganz andere Preisklassen. Die Liebe zum Detail, die Intelligenz im Bauplan und die Funktionalität, die man bei einem so filigranen Holzkonstrukt hier bekommt, ist es auch, die den Preis ein wenig sehr nach oben treibt. Rein vom Material her bekommt man hier ein paar Sperrholzplatten und ein paar Metallstifte (auf denen laufen die Zahnräder) und die kleine integrierte Spieluhr. Es ist schon nicht gerade billig, aber auch nicht total überteuert. Wenn die Preise dieser Teile durchgehend 25% niedriger werden, könnte ich jedem, der ein bisschen Bastelspaß in den Fingern hat bedenkenlos raten: kauft euch jeden Monat ein neues Teil :-) Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Piano-Bausatz gewesen und habe das fertige Stück meinen Schwiegereltern geschenkt, die sich darüber sehr gefreut haben und von der Technik der feinen Spieluhr ebenfalls sehr begeistert sind. Ich kann diesen Bausatz absolut empfehlen, denkt nur daran, dass es ein wenig Fingerspitzengefühl (im Wortsinn) braucht, weil manche Teile wirklich sehr klein sind und dass die Zahnräder immer gut mit dem beiliegenden Wachsstift eingerieben werden müssen - VOR der Montage ;-). Eine schmale kleine Zange kann ggf auch schon mal helfen, einen präzisen festen Griff beim Zusammenstecken kleiner Teile zu haben. Großer Bastelspaß!!!
