I had purchased a bare root tree and needed to monitor how much water the tree received each week from the rain, so that I would know how much water it needed. The metal pole is easy to insert in the ground and the numbers on the gauge are also easy to read. The devise has worked perfectly— and it even looks nice in my garden. That’s a bonus, not an important one in this case but still a bonus.

It’s attractive with easy to read with large bright numbering. My only issue is that the glass is very fragile. Part of the rim chipped off when I bumped it lightly against the frame.
