PernaPure Green Lipped Mussel Powder - New Zealand Freeze Dried (8 Ounce)

I'm not sure how to tell if it is really working. I recently began making homemade dog food, and this supplement was recommended as one of many supplements to help with meeting all of my dogs' nutritional needs. It is very...pungent. My dogs will love it, after all, they do love to roll on and eat the dead, stinky crawfish they find at the dog park. As soon as I cut open the outer mailer packaging, the...fragrant...aroma hit like a seafood freight train that had spent some time parked on the tracks in the sun, and both dogs raced to the kitchen to do their happy dance. I think I could put this on lettuce and my dogs would eat it (lettuce is the one thing they both turn their noses up to). It can't hurt to give it to them, so as long as they seem to enjoy the pungent smell (and I'm assuming flavor, though I'm not going to taste test it myself) that's good enough for me.

I had been using another more expensive green lipped mussel to help my precious German Shepherd with symptoms associated with lumbosacral disease. PernaPure provides the same glucosamine and chondroitin rich powder in a larger container at a lower price. My dog Pete loves the flavor on his food, and an as an added bonus, it has made helped his coat become even thicker and more lustrous!

This is better than I anticipated. My dog loves it--although, why I don't know since it smells like the beach at low tide. Lol. I don't know if it's helping, but a veterinarian that does a lot of research on dogs recommends it, (in fact, a lot of veterinarians recommend it,) so I'll keep going to see if it has a positive long-term effect on my senior Boxer. Regardless, she loves it, so may as well give it to her.

My cat just LOVES this and his mobility and arthritis have improved. He is just 3 months shy of his 17th birthday and still going strong! Great product!

Love that this is all natural. I was previously buying a different brand that was also all natural but much more expensive. I really like this cheaper option which even comes with more than the previous brand I bought. It’s great! Definitely helping my 6.5 year old lab mix!

Did not notice much difference in our dog's joints taking the recommended dosage, but our dog is 14 years old.

I've been giving my adult 10yr old 80lb dog this for her arthritis for years now. She walks and runs as if she was still a puppy.
