Easy to install and use

Couldnt get it to register

Being an old Acid software guy, I was really excited to try out some of the new Magix software. So I got a copy of Samplitude thinking I would just jump right in and start making music. Boy was I wrong, mister know it all here suddenly found himself being like a lost ball in high weeds if you catch my drift. Before I install any software, I always like to do a bit of homework to get more familiar with the app. Acid software was always pretty simple, they did most of the heavy lifting for you, all you had to do was pick out a sample and paste it in and hit play. Samplitude had a learning curve I wasn't ready for. So finally realizing what I had to do, I got myself a copy of Music Maker. Super smart move on my part. It was an easy install and setup. But it challenged me to have to actually learn the software, which is a good thing. So for me, it's a crawl, walk, run process. Whereas Acid did most of the work for me to get the easy results, Magix Music Maker does the same thing, but I have to take it step by step, no shortcuts. In short, this is a good thing for me, starting from scratch, but this time learning how to do things the right way, not just the quick way. I'm several hours into it now and I'm reading my manual, feeling my way around. But so far, I'm really happy with my results. So while there may be dozens of different DAW systems out there, I'm really glad I made Magix my choice. Thank you.

It's good for the price and has a ton of add-on instruments that are very nice and give you the sounds you need. If you're not pressed to get something right away, then wait and keep an eye out for discounts. The main program is sketchy and requires a powerful PC to help avoid lock ups. Save often and setup your auto save to at least 5 minutes saves, because the more you tweak your sounds, the more likely this software will freeze and close. You'll need to play around with your output drivers to reduce studdering playback while you're working or purchase an external audio interface if it becomes too severe. If you protect your work effectively and optimize playback, this software is good enough for everything else.

This program comes on a CD Rom unlike most DAWs today so keep this in mind since many laptops no longer have a disc drive. I normally use hardware but wanted software for the portability and when I don't feel like turning on all my hardware (sometimes I'm just too lazy), the tricky thing is finding a reliable music program that works perfectly with Windows out of the box. Most other programs I tried required a lot of troubleshooting before they finally worked but Music Maker 2024 Premium worked perfectly.This is a more basic program which is great news for some but might be too limiting for others. Think of this as the most basic true digital audio workstation out there. The program is still pretty capable but only contains the basics. Because of this it should be easier for beginners. I've never heard of Music Maker or Magix before but it took me only a few minutes to find my way around the program.A few things in the program really stood out to me, the compressor being the big one. The compressor has all the controls that you would expect to see, attack, release, compression ratio etcetera, but also has the best user interface I've ever seen for quickly trying different settings. They put a dot on a chart that you can just drag around until you find the right sound, that was the best design I've ever seen. You can still adjust the compressor the normal way but can also easily try several different settings in a matter of seconds. They did the same thing with the reverb too (which sounds excellent by the way).Copying and pasting tracks as well as mixing and changing settings is quick and easy and the looping feature gives me more time to adjust settings on shorter recordings. Everything I've seen in this program so far is easy to use and reliable. I haven't had any issues with crashing or freezing and it didn't have driver issues either. It is nice to have a music program that works perfectly with Windows without the need for driver updates or troubleshooting. The other parts of the software works just like you would expect them to, everything is neatly laid out and you can drag and drop tracks where you need them. the synth engine sounds nice too and gives you plenty of different parameters to mess with. I plugged my midi controller in and it worked well with Music Maker without the need for updates or routing. This one is a keeper.

This software genuinely feels like it was made by a team of people who care about the user, I am fairly new to Audio editing, so I appreciate how easy it has been learning to use Music Maker, and while I'm not perfect and still need to look some stuff up, after 2 weeks I feel like I've been using it for years.Once you have your sound recordings you can literally cut copy and paste music and sound like words in Notepad. My favorite thing to play with is the AI Song maker, you give it a few parameters to follow and within seconds you have a unique song. You can even make it use your own sound clips.It comes with lots of other free audio software once its registered, every bit of it is useful and easy to use. I wish I had this when I was a lot younger and had more time to devote to my hobbies because this software is easy and fun to use!!Highly Recommended!!5/5 STARS *****

Product is hard to use. Not user friendly at all. Trying to get help from these clowns is nearly impossible! Still have no help with this product.Just try to record a live song.
