Looks good and the pieces have a hefty feel to them. Overall, a top notch product.

This is a very nice portable chess set. I bought two. I already have one other one that I really like that I have owned for 20 years. I bought this one as a gift and liked it so much for the price that I bought another one for myself. I keep one in the trunk of my car, just in case! The chess pieces are nice enough but I gave it a three star on craftsmanship because I think that the pieces could easily be better quality by simply being a little heavier material and more bottom weighted without sacrificing the portability of the set. Mine is the 20 inch size.

I like the size of the pieces and board on this set. Weight is fine but not as heavy as I had thought they would be, but I suppose that’s good if you are going to travel with them

As advertised, but for the weight of the pieces is a little light in my opinion.

This is the right size, the team uses these sets to practice. With the carry case, it is easy to load a couple of dozen sets into our travel suitcase and roll into someone else's school for a competition. The felt bottoms (inclucing the extra queen in eah color) are great for us to mark the school's initials by a Sharpie, to be sure that all of the peices come back with us. The set arrives with that strong plastic /gas smell, but I shool it out and left it for a week on my dining room table (or was it the spare bedroom?) to make it fine to be packed back into the case to be part of our traveling sets.

WE both enjoy the game. Although I'm yet learning from him, my significant other LUUUUVS this board! He's an avid CHESS player and is ecstatic about his "pre-Birthday" gift !! I'm just happy HE'S HAPPY!😌😊😉Beautiful felt-bottom, durable pieces along with a Professional-looking, easy-carry Board. Good purchase!

The set comes with the extra white and black queens. The pieces are a nice size and the canvas carry bags is well constructed.

Since the product was from the House of Staunton, I was expecting a quality set. The felts were sloppily put on, either not centered, or, incorrectly attached. Due to the price, I had assumed incorrectly that I had purchased a triple weight set. My bad, otherwise I would have returned it. Advertised as a single weight, the pieces felt as light as plastic, with no additional weight added. The triple weight set I later ordered from the US Chess Federation was cheaper than this poorly constructed light single weight set.
