The Roman Record was very interesting to read, it was like I was apart of it. It is part of History, it gives you an insight into what it was like to be Roman. You could say that the Romans started Civilization if you did not behave you were sent to the Amphitheatre or executed, very bloodthirsty. I liked the Roman Record, very well presented.

Hilarious!I used this for cross-curricular teaching with my Romans topic. Good for excellent examples of newspaper reports and adverts.A must buy for any Primary teacher. The Egyptian one is good too.Just wish there were more in the series!

These are great fun for adults and young teens alike, enjoyable modern handling of ancient news stories.

Read all about it! These books are simply fantastic! Written as newspaper articles, complete with advertisements, this book takes you throught the highs and lows of Roman times. It's is witty, surprising, and enjoyable! I think you might have to know a bit about this time period before your can really appreciate the cleverness this book has (indeed, all the books in the series have!), but I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoy Roman history - kids and adults alike!Recommended for kids 10+

This is so entertaining. In the format of "national enquirer" with tongue-in-cheek humor. It is quite clever!

An educational and very funny read. The facts are all true, but have been presented in a consistely funny and readable tabloid style. Maps, pictures, and fact boxes (and some very funny ads) support the text. Highly recommended.
