Dino Pet Gift Option

I bought this as gift for my girlfriend as we're both a fan of science/nature and i thought she'd get a kick out of it, boy was i right. This thing is great, I'd seen the videos and thought it looked spectacular but figured that was ideal conditions and wondered how we'd get on in reality, as it turns out the videos are an accurate representation of what you can expect. It really is fantastic to be able to hold this natural phenomena in the palm of your hand and sit in awe as you watch it light up.We received the dino shaped aquarium without any issue and then used the Filler Up Card to order the actual dinoflagellates, this process was super easy and we received them much faster than we expected (under 3 days). The seller only ships Monday - Wednesday and uses 2-3 day Priority shipping so if you order on a Wednesday don't expect it to arrive until the following week. Receiving it is pretty nerve wracking as you're concerned it may not have survived the shipping process, if it doesn't light up right away don't panic. The dinoflagellates have a circadian rhythm the same as humans and they have been conditioned to US time so night time for you isn't night time for them, it doesn't matter that it's dark they won't light up until the get over their jet lag which takes a couple of days :)This kit comes with a bag of dino food but i would recommend getting another bag at the same time as you look to get around one month of food per sachet.

This is the gift that keeps on giving. Ideal for anyone interested in biology or even just decorative. The guide says to use feed every week but once every 3 weeks is fine. As the product is essentially a multiplying organism, if you look after it well you can decant some into new containers indefinitely
