Stella Nova Political Blue Ocean Levitating Globe, 4-Inch

The globe is great, but the included instructions fail to point out that it comes equipped with the correct adapter for use in the US. Some of the friends to whom I gave this globe as a gift were confused by the statement that a 230 v supply is needed.

I purchased one of these years ago and another one recently (unfortunately it came to me damaged and would not power up). They are easy to set up and look cool sitting on your desk. The bottom magnetic hold is nice for when I lose power it doesn't drop the globe and break or anything.Personally I like to slowly spin the globe (a gentle spin will continue for hours and hours) and the kids love to time how long it spins. Over the years, there has been no real improvement in this device, but a cool feature to add would be an auto-spin to draw your eye to it more. It is fun to have out when people are over (I do spin it), but beyond that it is a novelty item I don't have on (wasting electricity) everyday. Movement would be key for that in my opinion.

I purchased this for my husband as a Birthday gift. He is in the navy and has traveled the world. I thought this would be a great gift for his office. The globe is hollow and made of cheap material. It is hard very hard to line up the magnets. This item should only cost $30-40. Definitely not worth $114.00. Sending it back immediately.

The detail on the globe surface was very good. We had no problem at all getting the globe to levitate.
