Most white dishes are boring but the shape of these dishes make them interesting and distinctive. I love that they’re square but also a bit rounded. Bowls are adorable. Very well packed. Some reviews complained that the plates are small but not a problem for us, maybe even an asset since it encourages smaller portions. I bought 3 of the full set but would have liked the option to buy a set without mugs. Also wish I could buy just flat plates (for when I break some). But I’m delighted with what I got & amazed at the low cost.

I was looking for a set that was reliable and different. Purchased black silverware to accent it.

This is a good solid set, but Amazon's packing left something to be desired. I had a lot of breakage which Amazon is sending me a new set to accommodate. The set gives you everything you need for service for six and a couple of nice serving pieces. However, the description is slightly untrue. It claims to include a large serving bowl and two smaller serving bowls. That is not the case. The large serving bowl yes, but the two smaller ones are actually just two additional soup bowls. So you basically have six of the plates, cups and small bowls, and eight of the soup size bowls. As for the pieces themselves, they run on the smallish size. The dinner plates are listed at 10.75" but that is not the case. They are actually just over 9", so more of a large salad size than dinner, and the salad size is more like bread or dessert plates. I really like the little bowls. They are perfect for a small dessert or a scoop of ice cream, it's a shame that these are not sold individually, and neither are the larger serving pieces either from what I have found. The set is of nice weight, a pretty shape, and they don't get too hot in the microwave. It's reasonably priced for all the pieces it includes and is quite pretty. It lives up to it's name. It is very Zen and goes well with any tablescape.

I got the white and I love it. These are not too expensive and within budget. So far the quality has been great with my two rough boys. I would recommend this dinnerware to someone that is wanting a versatile everyday set but something not too over the top and overpriced.

My dishes arrived today in perfect condition. No chips or scratches. The box was well packed. The dishes were better than expected. Nice weight to the dishes. My only complaint is the size of the dinner plates is a little small.

I agree with the other reviewer. I'm not sure why the negative reviews.??? These are a nice creamy white color, with no black specks or imperfections as was stated by others. I even ordered mine from the warehouse deals. I love these dishes! They are just what I wanted. Square, but not to square.I will mention that the plates "seem" a bit smaller, as another reviewer mentioned. But it is because of the shape. When coming from round dinner plates, the square takes some getting used to. Just imagine that all four corners of your plates have been removed. Hence less eating space. Other than that, they are the same diameter. But I was looking for a nice clean look for plating appeal, with a slightly modern, edge. These fit the bill without being too harsh. Now my meals look like they just came off of the food network shows. It's amazing what difference plating can add to a meals appeal.The coffee mugs are very nice too. They fit perfectly in the hand and don't take up too much room in our cabinets.The bowls are different. Again, it's the shape that causes them to appear that you are getting a smaller bowl. But because the edges dip down a bit, I would not use them for everyday cereal, just because we tend to be messy. I saved some of my deeper bowls from a previous set for that. But for having dinner guests, and desserts, wow! They are really pretty and can make a bowl of fruit look completely elegant.As far as durability, they have a nice weight and feel to them. I'm pretty sure they will hold up to vigorous use. I have ran them through the dishwasher twice now. They came out clean, no stains. I was worried about that being white. Also, no knife cuts. I worried about steak knives leaving marks. If they do chip, at least it shouldn't be to visible being they are white. I had red plates for about five years and those looked horrible with even a tiny chip.Overall I highly recommend and am looking forward to entertaining in style now.
