A fun romantic cozy mystery!
I love the Body Movers series and own and have read all 12 books! They are fun, funny and the mysteries are intriguing! Carlotta Wren works at Newman Marcus at the mall. She.has raised her younger brother Wesley because their parents left town. Wesley ends up in jail which is how Carlotta meets Detective Jack Terry. Wesley ends up working as a Body Mover helping Cooper Craft. Carlotta runs into Peter Ashford and then meets him again at a crime scene along with Jack and Cooper. The 3 guys all like Carlotta which makes the books fun. Carlotta has a knack for finding clues to the mystery. I had the audiobook narrated by Maureen Jones. She does a good job with the voices but I envisioned Jack's voice deeper. They are different enough that it is easy to follow. I received a free audio book code from Stephanie Bond for an honest review. #BodyMovers #StephanieBond

Read Party Crashers Before the Body Movers Series
I highly recommend reading "Party Crashers" before reading book 1 of the Body Movers series. You meet Carlotta in her element... Neiman Marcus. Carlotta is the top sales person at Neiman's at Lenox in Atlanta, GA.Swear Words, Sex and Graphic Violence: There are a few swear words, but one of the main characters is a 19 year old boy. There is no sex or graphic violence, although there are a few deaths.Plot: Carlotta raised and supports her younger brother Wesley. Ten years earlier, her parents left town because her father was indicted for embezzlement. Afterwards, Carlotta's fiancé, Peter breaks their engagement. Now, Peter's wife is a customer of Carlotta's at Neimans and that becomes one plot line. I don't want to go into details as it will spoil the main plot.A second plot line is that Wesley, who has a high IQ, gets involved with gambling and loan sharks. Wesley is arrested for computer hacking. He is in major debt and finally gets a job moving bodies for the morgue. His boss, Coop becomes a love interest for Carlotta.A third plot line is the mystery of the location of Carlotta's parents and is her father guilty or innocent? When will they return? Are they dead or alive? The romance plot line is that Carlotta has feelings for three men; Peter, her ex-fiance, Jack the detective working Wesley's criminal case and Coop, an ex-doctor who moves bodies for the morgue.Of course, this is the first book in the series, so the ending leads to the second book of the series. After finishing this book, I immediately downloaded the second book.Editing and Humor: I did not notice any editing errors as I was so engrossed in the action. I thought the book was funny in places but it definitely made me smile quite a bit.Other Reviews: I mainly wrote this review to comment on some of the 1 star reviews and their attacks on the character of Carlotta. One reviewer said Carlotta was a door mat. That is NOT the case. She is strong and determined, but you can not man handle a 19 year old brother who is grieving for parents who abandoned him. This is a fictional character so it would be odd if she were picture perfect. I fell in love with Carlotta's character in "Party Crashers" as it showed her not as a sister, but as a young woman wanting to have fun in her tough life. There were some complaints on the character of Wesley, Carlottta's brother. Well, duh... he is a kid. How perfect do you want him to be when his 18 year old sister had to raise him with no money and no family? He is exactly what he should be.Then there were complaints that Carlotta did not choose one of the three men. Well, this book takes place in a very short window of time. More importantly, it is a series. So we get to enjoy more mysteries and suspense while Carlotta spends time with each of the three men. I hope this stretches out for many books.

Good book
Hard to get going in it. Took some time to get interesting to me. Looks like there may be a series before it?

Page Turner
Thumbs up as usual. I have read other books from this author and I have yet to be disappointed. I couldn't put this down. And I can't wait to read the next sequel.

4 Stars!
I’ll be continuing with this series. It was fun and moved at a quick pace. I'm definitely interested to see where all of these characters are heading as more mysteries are thrown their way.

Great start
I felt so bad for Carlotta the entire book. The ENTIRE book. She dealt with more stress and be than anyone should in five lifetimes. I liked the hapless brother Wesley, hope he pulls his head put soon. I like Coop better than Terry at this point and both of them better than Andrew. Summary covers basics.Told from Wesley and Carlotta's POV. No cliffhanger. Series will have ongoing arcs though.

Great Book
This book is a great mix of humor, romance, and mystery. Throw in moving dead bodies for a living and it's a pretty great story. It has the perfect ending too.

Every single book in this series is AWESOME!
The Body Movers series are the most fun I've had in ages! I love the characters, I love the story lines and I love that I can't wait to dig in to the next book. Start with Party Crashers and I know you won't be disappointed. We all wish we had a Carlotta Wren in our lives😁Stephanie Bond is a wonderful storyteller that literally had me hooked in the first few sentences. She's also got other series that are just as outrageously fun! 500 stars!!!

Quick, Light And Easy
I do like Stephanie's books. Always quick, light and easy reads but with a dash of murderation to keep things ticking along nicely !!I laughed aloud at the cover quote courtesy of her mum-how nice.I liked Carlotta although her behaviour on the odd occasion was a little tawdry and not what I'd expect from her so I was a little disappointed. You have to despair on her behalf of Wesley....he needs to get his act together. It's left open-ended so we are left wondering who she may fall in love with and I'll definitely stick with the series.I did get a tad irritated by the minus ten points things....I didn't really understand it and so it got on my nerves a bit. I spotted sheath used instead of sheaf and Wesley pushing up his glasses got a little old. Matter-offactly lost a hyphen too. Not bad going in the mistakes department, though. There were some laugh-out-loud moments as is usual in her books and the ending was a shocker as well and I enjoyed it.

Don't get sucked in
They say all good things come to an end. This is not true of the Body Movers series.I really enjoyed the first three books. And then it just kept going. My advice is to not bother with the first unless you are willing to commit to the rest of the series which is dragged out, poorly written and not worthy of the first book. The last book is surprisingly rushed and though the main intrigue is resolved the romance side is not. Cue another whole series.

No from me
Really wish I had read the reviews before purchasing - painfully made my way through to the end even though I wanted to just delete. Was really hopeful of a good series as there are eight more but no. From the description was expecting a series like Janet Evanovich's but definitely not. The character of Carlotta was so weak and insecure you could not warm to her at all and considering it is a Mills and Boon book where was the romance?

Jangler
The storyline was interesting enough to keep me reading. However, I didn't really like the characters, although there was some funny dialogue between them, but I hate books that end on a cliff hangar. I dislike the idea that the I'm being manipulated into buying the next instalment.

OK. Then Lost Interest
I thought it sounded an interesting, light-hearted read. It got off to a good start but my interest began to wane and in the end I gave up on it.
