Joe Bonamassa is a good example for modern blues and rock

Joe Bonamassa is great guitar player. This video was filmed when he was very young. I found it to be more like sitting and listening to someone talk about playing while they show you some ideas or licks. It is not like a traditional "instructional video." He also plays through some things pretty quickly. I would say that if you are a big fan or an accomplished player, you might like this. If you are looking for an "instructional video" with Tab and a well organized program, look elsewhere. I personally enjoyed hearing him explain the things that Danny Gatton showed him and asked him to learn.

Show want a fantastic talent and incredible play was when he was only 21. To hear him talk and explain what he does and how he does it was neat.

Not very instructional, just a lot of Joe's thoughts on music styles in general, if you're looking to learn Joe's riffs or solos this is not for you, some good jamming in the beginning though.

Watching JB talk about his influences is historical. And if you can see(or hear) where he is coming from then you have one of the most motivational tools for guitar students to follow!
