SS Large litter box

Great box, but be aware - sizes listed are for the top outside edge of the box
My extra-large cat pees right over the sides of any standard litter box, so I have been using tall plastic storage boxes, and the grooves in the bottom of the boxes make scooping difficult. This high side box has sides that are high enough (so far), clumps have minimal adhesion to the stainless steel, and the flat bottom and rounded corners make it a breeze to scoop.However, the box sizes listed are for the top of the box, including the metal outside edge. I ordered the small high side at first, but at the bottom it measures only 11x17, which was a bit small for extra-large kitty. Then I bought the large high side, which is 13x21 at the bottom. Perfect!Edited 1 week later: spoke too soon, turns out 8 inches is NOT high enough to defeat extra-large kitty, so it's back to storage boxes. This is still a great box, wish it had worked for me.

It's worth the money
Stainless steel makes keeping it clean pretty easy. My fat cat fits in there pretty easily. The only negative is the soft plastic guards aren't all that sturdy but they work, or have so far. I have another that I spent more on with the only major difference being the sturdiness of the guard

Very sturdy
High wall great quality. Works great. I will say I didn't like the plastic sheets that go around the outside. I just don't think they will hold to the metal so I didn't use them.

Doesn't stick to the sides and is easy to clean. Well worth the money.

Missing pieces
I've only been using the box for a couple of days. I like that it's so deep but it was supposed to come with the peeshields and those were missing so my cats are tossing the litter all over the floor. The metal has an odor to it and the urine is already staining the sides. I worry about how this thing will hold up for a full week, much less any longer.

Cat box does rust in less then a month
I love the size of the box, but after first full changing of litter, it rusted and the urine left stain marks. I was so excited about a stainless steel box that is not supposed to not scratch, rust or stain. I am going to keep using it until I find another brand that guarantees no rust!!! Maybe this one is just defective (also came with the corner smashed). Didn’t give me the option to replace it to give it another try.
