⚓ Dive into a sea of laughter and deceit!
Buffalo Games' Sunken Sailor is an adult party game designed for 3-8 players aged 17 and up. Players take turns drawing parts of a story while trying to keep their identities hidden from the Sunken Sailor. The game includes 27 envelopes with story cards, 7 Sunken Sailor cards, 8 crayons, a binder clip, and drawing paper, making it a complete package for a fun-filled night.

Loved this game!
We followed the suggestion of another reviewer and put in a random card from another envelope instead of the sunken sailor card. One turn it ended up being mine so everyone else was drawing a lifeboat and I was drawing an octopus and it became clear VERY quickly that I was probably the sunken sailor. By some miracle I was able to convince a few people that the random squiggle was a "safety rope" and not a tentacle and they didn't end up guessing me. The rules are a little fuzzy for this play because once you make your guess and the person reveals what their card was, the actual sunken sailor KNOWS the word and can't earn extra points. You could probably have everyone write down their guess of who it is and what the drawing is to get around this but it might be tedious. We also played several rounds with the traditional rules and it was also really fun. I felt like the instructions were a little confusing, for some reason I thought we'd all be drawing at the same time? But actually its one person at a time, drawing in secret. This game is nice because you all can still chat while the one person is drawing.

Good nights play
We loved playing this game. The only problem is how few sets are in it. We had gone through all the cards in just a few nights playing. But we definitely liked the game. We played with six players. A good family game over the age of eight or nine. They need to be able to read the cards . we laughed a lot playing it.

Definitely an ADULT party game!
Six of us played this when we first opened it. What a hoot! You don't need to be able to draw. And it probably helps if this is played once the party has been underway for a while. Loads of fun! We'll definitely be playing this one again!

Fun game, easy to play.
We had a lot of fun playing this bluff game during the holidays with family. It is a relatively simple concept and had us laughing right away. My son is a US Sailor and I bought it because of that. We enjoyed playing it and reading the stories that go with each round.

This is a great game! We play board games all the time, but have never laughed so hard playing a game before! This makes a great gift as well! Love, love, love it!!!!!

Swears like a Sailor too, fun idea BUT they need a version that is Family Friendly
This game is a great idea and put together very well. I was really excited to play it but was very disappointed to find swear words on most of the prompts! There are damns, F***, and other phrases that might not go over well with a conservative group (which is the only group I happened to play the game with).

Hilarious game
Super fun for the whole family. We play it with our 6 year old (who just likes to draw) up to my husbands 70something year old grandmother. We all have a blast
