A Wonderful collection of baseball lore
Wow what a wonderful collection of stories from the world of baseball. I have been a baseball fan since 1969. That's right, the year of the Miracle Mets, who were the worst to first champions that made me a fan to this day. The courage of Jackie Robinson, the inspiring story of Jim Abbott, the historic tales of Ruth, Gehrig and Aaron and the heroic women who kept baseball afloat during the war. Love to read about the wonderful character of Ken Griffey Jr and the modern story of Ohtani. These are just a great way to get young people immersed in the world of baseball and the legend that have made the game larger then life!Highly recommend this for the youngsters but also a great collection of stories for adults who are new to the game and want to learn more about what makes it so special!!! Great great stories and well told!!!

Fun little stories for a baseball lover!
My seven year old son loves this book. We read a story out of it at bedtime or on the way to baseball practice. It usually sparks quite a conversation and he loves that he has a cool story to share with his friends at the lunch table.

The Right Baseball Book to Bring Kids Up to Speed on Dad's Stories
Great opening pitch: "picture this". It's marked "for kids" but the stories are digestible, quick, and useful for anyone. Being a New Yorker, I particularly liked the Miracle Mets story. "They didn't have the most powerful hitters". That's the point. They played their strengths. If you want to give a kid who identifies with baseball a set of stories that point to a deeper way to look at life, this book is that book. It's also a great tour of the history of the sport. I can't help but think (also) a lot of older sports fans want to bring their kids up to speed on the seminal games, players, and inspiring moments they still refer to. "Boring, Dad!" Not here: this book will have them citing those moments to friends over pizza. The intro mentions a 'lessons' but these aren't the cheesy "here's a powerful lesson, Timmy" type. They're basic observations from powerful images.Don Little, Yogi Berra, Cal Ripken (and Billy), Kirk Gibson—they're all here. Girls' baseball too—not just a token hit—multiple hits. Most positions, team neutral. Includes the growing up stories! Helpful that there's a diverse field. Shohei Ohtani, Roberto Clemente, and others for example. I dug it. Puns are mine, not the author's.

A well-written book that makes the stories real and relatable
What I like about this book is how the author remembers that his audience is kids and is careful to write in a way that is not over their heads and at the same time not an insult to their intelligence. Not only is the book written in a way that appeals to kids, it's also written in a way that adults will also find engaging. That is a hard balance to strike but this author nails it. Because when it comes to books like this, the parents are often reading it to their kids, and given this author's style it's entertaining to readers and listeners alike. Another thing I like about this book is how he draws some very important life lessons from the game of baseball and the people who play it. This is definitely a book with having.

Great book that needs pics!
“The Most Amazing Baseball Stories of All Time for Kids” is a fun, informative read that I much enjoyed. I enjoy baseball but know little of the great players of the past, so it was nice to find a book that focused on that. The only thing I would change is to include pics of the highlighted players, because it would be good to be able to put a face to each story, and there’s plenty of room for them. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an inspirational book about great baseball players.

Baseball stories kids and adults will enjoy !
I’m a 50 year old male and I felt like a kid reading these stories. Granted, I already knew most of them (most kids/people won’t) but a sense of nostalgia ran over me as I recognized the stories I read as a child.Everything from Babe Ruth’s called shot (the only story that is more myth than legend) to the Red Sox breaking the curse, great collection of stories for any baseball fan.My only issue (I may be biased, I’m from Chicago), no mention of the cubs winning the WS after 108 years? The point of view would have been about the die-hard fans. But seriously, The stories transcend baseball, and cover perseverance, prejudice, and hard work. This is a must for any fan of baseball, sports, and American sports history!

Great stories
What an excellent book for fans of baseball, and even more so that it is so well written for children. Though to be honest, I enjoyed it as much as my teens. Very well written and very entertaining. Great novelty value as well. Loved it!
