Bought as a replacement for stock velour cushions as they worn down. Cooling effect is noticable, but comfortable and lasts for 10-15 minutes for me. Noise isolation is on par with stock cushions. Memory effect is way better. My headphones didn't have a notch on earcups so installation was a bit painful but managable — you need to use something to hold outer ring in place during installation.

Great product and very comfy.

Super easy to install and feel a 100x better than the original and had plenty of room where my ears aren’t pressed against the speakers. And my ears don’t get hot after wearing them for a whole day.

***Revised reviewCustomer service was awesome at this company and sent me another set for free to try. They still fit terribly after trying the exact methods on the video but I'm changing from 1 Star to 4 Stars just because customer service was so helpful and considerate and for that, I am a fan of this company and their brand. I would love to say it is just me being picky but when I have my headphones straddling my acoustic absorbtion panel and go to remove them to use, one of the pads almost always comes partially detached and must be re-seated. The skiing is exclusively more bass-heavy but I enjoy it and have no issues mixing around it with that in mind. All in all in not unhappy with my purchase because of customer service.I reviewed replacements for my DT-770 Pros for days and finally came to rest on these simply because of the design being different and the cooling thicker padding since I tend to wear them for 8 hours at a time or more before taking them off and realizing how hot my ears are. All reviews say to get these warm with a hair dryer prior to installation so they will stretch since they are so tight out of the package. Well mine literally will just fall off of the headphones. They "appear" to fit and be the correct size, but there is zero elasticity on the part that is supposed to stretch around the outside diameter of each ear monitor. And luckily, I did not stretch them out like a saw some people recommend prior to application or else they would be unusable altogether. If the product fit tightly and if it would have come with the new acoustic cloth to cover the drivers I would have been super happy. But my main issue with my old headphones is the acoustic dust cloth has disintegrated over the past 15 years. However, looking back at the pictures and description it does not show that it comes with the fabric for the driver cover so I can not fault them for not providing it. But I will say I would not recommend if you are looking for a whole new ear padding and dust cover replacement because this is not going to get you what you are looking to achieve. I was hoping to buy the matching headband cover as well but I am unfortunately not going to go back to this. I will have to try to go with another product or go back to Beyerdynamics for the stock model. Unfortunate, I had high hopes.

SetupI have a set of beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro X Limited Edition headphones and swapped these out with the original velour ear pads multiple time during a number of songs: Kansas - Carry on Wayward Son, Gerry Rafferty - The Ark, and Dire Straits - One World. I kept the volume at the same level throughout my listening tests and only stopped and restarted the songs after changing out the pads.Installation and FitI found that these cooling gel ear pads were easy to install, although they didn't slide quite as well as the originals. They were comfortable, and they felt cool around my ears. Fit and finish seem well done.SoundAfter fitting the gel ear pads, I immediately noticed a louder mid-range that bordered on or became shouty during the songs. During the Gerry Rafferty song, some of the lyrics were distorted and shrill. The Dire Straits lyrics were very sharp in places - enough to cause a bit of discomfort a few times. The intro music passage of Carry on Wayward Son had an unpleasant resonance and a lack of bass when compared to the original velour pads. Overall, there was a lack of bass and more pronounced mid frequencies with these gel pads as compared to the velour pads.Final ThoughtsI bought my DT 770 Pro X headphones because of the bass response, clear highs, and balanced mid-range. I have not been a big fan of the velour pads. Although they are soft and supple when pushing on them with a finger, as a whole they have always seemed too stiff when wearing the headphones and they do provide discomfort and a little too much warmth for listening sessions over an hour or so.These Wicked Cushions WC Freeze earpads feel softer, are more comfortable, and seem like they would hold up a long time with my listening style. However, I won't be keeping them since they alter the basic sonic experience that I enjoy these headphones for.

Super comfy and easy replacement for my trusty old headphones

Been wearing these for quite a while now and I'm surprised by how well they're holding up. They have a bit less depth than OE replacements, so my giant ears are a bit squeezed by them. But the material isn't getting compressed nearly as quickly as other replacements I've tried so the longevity they offer is worth the slight discomfort I get by using them. They are also very easy to clean compared to the original fuzz.If they someday offer the same product that's just a bit larger, Chefs kiss.
