Such a good set!
I was able to use these all school year and for multiple grades of children. I really loved the quality of the pieces and the color vibrancy. I also loved the fact that they were also magnetic making the uses very versatile.

Better than trying to teach from a table
Item Reviewed: Simply magic 131+4 PCS Jumbo Colorful Magnetic Base Ten BlocksASIN: B0C3M6NZS3------------------These are very useful for anyone that teaches on place value, especially 3rd or 4th grade. It is much easier to use these from the white board than to try to model using the base 10 blocks from a table. They are decent sized (the hundred flat is about the size of my hand - see picture) and feel like foam core board material. The kit comes with 100 units, 20 tens, 10 Hundreds, and 1 Thousand. I thought it was clever to model the thousand cube flat in perspective. They are quite useful and a good value. However, there are a couple weaknesses in the product design. Why not 5-star?-------------------Two issues prevent this from being a 5 star product.1. They only give 10 hundreds. That makes it difficult to use these to model carrying from the hundreds place. However, even if they gave me 20 hundreds it would still be difficult to model the hundreds because of issue #22. The hundred flats do not stick to each other. That means you have to stick each of them to the whiteboard separately (see picture). It would be really helpful if I could layer them on top of each other to save whiteboard space.Conclusion-------------Overall, the above items are not a dealbreaker and do not prevent these from being a useful tool in class. However, they do prevent it from being as useful and effective as it could be. If the above issues were fixed (especially #2) it would definitely be a 5-star product.

Missing the magnet for tens
I teach 2nd grade and was looking forward to using this with my students. Unfortunately, the set was missing a magnet that should have been labeled for tens.

Great classroom visual!
I have this in my classroom and the kids LOVE it for reference. I like how visual it is without being distracting like the days we take out all of the cubes. I also used a marker to draw on top how I want my students to draw each quantity and it is really awesome to see how the students connect learning. I highly suggest these as an educator!

Perfect for grades 1-4!!
This is a great magnetic set to use in the classroom if working on various math problems for grades 1-4. They are meant to use on a whiteboard and are much easier to use than teaching from a projector (old school way) or from a desk. It allows for student “play” while they learn. These are not little cubes or items for the students to play with at their desk. Great tool for visual learners and also helpful if they need to be hands-on. If you homeschool, one set may do. I actually have several sets now to use on different boards.
