I purchased this SP1500 grow light for an indoor Kratky-method hydroponic shelf garden, and I’ve been extremely pleased with both the performance and the overall build quality. My setup includes lettuces, chives, rosemary, dill, basil, and an aloe plant, all grown indoors. Before installing this light, my plants tended to stretch toward windows and get leggy. That stopped almost immediately once this light went up. Growth is now compact and upright, with fuller leaves and sturdier stems. The plants look like they’re thriving under the light rather than reaching for it. The light output is impressive. Even dialed back, it produces a very bright, even field of light across the growing area. Because my plants are still young and only about 8–10 inches below the fixture, I’m currently running it at roughly 50% intensity. The built-in dimmer makes this easy and is a very welcome feature for seedlings or mixed plant stages. I run the light on a timer for about 14 hours per day (daylight hours plus a little extra during winter), and everything under it has responded extremely well. Build quality is another strong point. The fixture itself feels solid and well-made, not flimsy. The braided metal hanging cables and hardware feel secure and make height adjustment straightforward, which is important when dialing in distance as plants grow. The LED array is densely packed and evenly distributed, and the external driver appears robust and well-labeled, which inspires confidence in long-term use (picture included, for those curious about the specs on the label). Overall, this has been an excellent addition to my indoor garden. Strong light output, thoughtful features like the dimmer, and solid construction make it easy to recommend. Based on my experience so far, this is a great option for anyone growing indoor plants, whether hydroponic or soil-based. I initially wasn't sure about this purchase because of my inexperience with purchasing grow lights, but I'm definitely going to order another one of these when I expand my garden to additional shelves in the future.

I came across a great deal on these lights that pretty much made them buy one get one free, so I promptly ordered 2 with the intention of putting them in my 2’x4’ grow tent. These came well packaged and also included some nice goodies: a ratcheting light hoist system for each light and a hygrometer/thermometer as well. These suckers are BRIGHT!!! I put both lights at 100% intensity around 4 pm and went to check my Hurtberry Pepper plant around 10pm and it was looking a little wilty on the leaves closest to the lights. I dialed back the intensity to 50% and a day later my plant is looking oh so good again! My basement temp has been 68 degrees ambient and in the grow tent I am showing about 70.8 degrees after about 30 hours of the lights being installed. The lights are off from 11pm until 5am, so I am sure that helps too, but my point is these do not put out much heat at all! I look forward to using these for many seasons of growing (I start everything from seed) and really enjoy the quality construction and build (these do not feel cheap!) and the potentiometer to adjust the lights is just another feather in the cap! Very nice lights. Bought two and use them as an add-on to larger lights in my grow tents. Included digital thermometer and humidity meter was a nice touch. I see reviews where people are unable to figure out how to change the temperature to Fahrenheit on the included thermometer/ humidity sensor. Just extend the legs on the unit. Under the legs is a black button. Push once for Fahrenheit.

Good light comes with a height pully, and has a dimmer. Works well. Only a 4* because you can't daisy chain it.

You can’t beat this one for the price. Since adding it, the new growth on my plants has exploded! My shooting star hoya has been blooming non-stop. It’s nice being able to adjust the brightness with the knob, and the light is very lightweight, so I hang it from a plant hook in the ceiling with no worry of it pulling out. Definitely plan on getting more of these! Edit: have now bought a second. These are the best

This light 3x3 is a great light for small tents. Running in a 3x3 tent. From veg to flower have had outstanding results. Now owned for 2.5 yrs and no issues. Would recommend as a great starter light.

Item is not 4ftx4ft . Item is maybe 1ftx1ft . Don’t waste your money

Hi People ! I usually don't write reviews but had to ! In response to the person who gave it one star ... he says he didn't even plug it in . lol He went with the " flimsy thermometer " judgement etc ... These are inexpensive but do the job very well for cuttings and small plants . Keeps everything nice and compact with great root mass . Thank you !

Iv been running this light for a few days now and so far so good. Unboxing i was pleasantly suprised by the solid packaging. The quality of this light seems excellent,very sturdy aluminum and solid electronics. This light is super bright and has a dimmer knob that works great. It does get fairly warm so im thinking of adding a fan in my tent but it may not be needed as the aluminum heat sink is doing its job as normal and some heat is expected. Overall I think this was an excellent investment for the price and I will update my review in 6 months.

They did their job. They get supper hot of course, in my opinion a fire hazard. But if you have a fan blow across them on the side or above they stay cool as a cucumber and you will only feel warmth if you touch them. I feel 100 % safe now.
