Very pleased with this portable battery operated DVD player. Which also plays SD Cards, USB Drives. The touch pads are simple and large enough to easily see what you are doing even without your glasses on. It has a great picture resolution. Crystal clear. The sound is warm and not tinny at all as one might expect from such small speakers. It weighs almost as much as a bag of air. I bought this primarily for electrical outages. And it has come in quite useful. You can also use this in your vehicle for the back seat for the kids. All in all, I'm very pleased. On battery mode I've been able to watch 2 movies on one charge. Plugged in it's limitless. Do bear in mind these batteries are not changeable, only chargeable. And this will not play Blu-Ray disks. Just every other kind.

We got this as an alternative to iPad for kids on flight and they loved it. We went to library and let them pick out all their DVDs. The DVD player worked great!

It’s astonishing to me that you can get a perfectly functional portable DVD player for a mere 50 bucks. The player is full-featured and operates just fine. The screen isn’t great—you have to view it from the correct angle—but it gets the job done. It’s perfectly watchable. The package comes with an ac adapter, which both powers the unit and charges the battery. It also includes a composite output cord so you can connect the dvd player to a TV, a great feature. It includes a car adapter, too. My only area of concern Is sound. As others have pointed out, it simply does not get very loud. It’s fine in a quiet room, and the sound is clear. But I’m not sure it would be loud enough to hear easily in a moving car. You can use headphones, through the headphone jack, easily enough. This unit is great for travel, since you can connect it to any TV, and it’s great for the kids. For a measly $50, less than a Nintendo Switch game, I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Bought on prime day for 40. I really like it and i would agree with all the 4 star reviews. Just a few things though....1. Its region free alright. Played a euro dvd no problem2. It says 9.5" screen, but barely 9" is used3. Sound and picture quality depends on the disc youre playing, but you might want to grab an old bluetooth speaker with aux option handy for louder or better sound4. You can tilt/twist the screen which is good, since you will have to tilt it for the perfect viewing angle5. The remote has to be pointed directly near the red light at the bottom of the player for it to register6. Usb stick with music worked, but my sd cards with video didnt, "codec not supported"Overall, lots of features and at a good price with the region free aspect being my favorite.

My daughter saved her money to buy this. It's our second one. The first one was great- lasted a long time. This one has been complete junk. It hasn't worked right since she got it. She has to tip it up on its side to even get it to work most of the time and then it doesn't work well. Sometimes it won't work at all. Not sure if quality has declined or what. But this time around has been a really bad experience.

It's okay. Functions as it's supposed to. Kid loves it.What I don't love is how short the car cigarette plug cord is - wonder if the person that designed this has ever been in a back seat. It would be too short for front facing in a car seat and it's about 3 feet too short for rear facing. No usb charging option is included.
