Easy to install, but the adhesive it came with didn’t stick, I made sure to wipe down the entire area with alcohol to make sure it was clean first. Didn’t make a difference. I had some heavy duty double stick tape so I cut a long strip and stuck it to the light bar and then attached it to the ceiling of the trunk, it’s been working fine since.I would have preferred if it was a splitter instead of losing one of the OEM lights, so I might so back and splice a second connector line to it from the spare part they gave. Another nice feature would have been an on/off switch in case I don’t want to advertise everything in my trunk if I’m not in a nice neighborhood and have things I don’t want stolen.I’m currently looking for a low cost 12v switch to make my own upgrade.

Really bright and way better than the oem lights for the trunk of my Mustang.

I easily have the brightest trunk in the neighborhood. Before I added this easy upgrade to the trunk, the old lighting was really pathetic. It was so dim.Now, I open the lid, and it is blazing daytime in there. A quick glance around and I find exactly what it is that I want.I mounted the LED strip up high, in a slight recess in the non moving part of the truck lid so that I do not directly see it. I don’t want the glare of these bright lights, in my eyes. Mounting it up high also prevents the light from being hit by what is being loaded and unloaded.I recommend getting a short strip of Clear Gorilla Tape. That stuff is sticky. I used it to tape up the short length of wire, that connects the old light socket to the new LED strip. I did this so that the wire doesn’t dangle down. Neat installation.Other than that, it was so easy to mount. Undo the adhesive backing on the LED strip and stick it up. Too easy!I recommend that you start at the center of the strip. That’s where it connects to the light socket. That way, you get the best fit.If I needed to, I’d buy this again, without hesitation. I’m very happy with the results.

Cold light. Wish it was a little warmer.

Didn’t come with a power port. Nothing for me to even plug the lights into. Had to do the wiring myself, and the lights weren’t even bright. Tossed in the trash instantly

Installed in a 2018 Kia Forte. When the package came, I guess I thought it would be larger. It is a small box. The first few pictures compares the size to a few quarters. While the whole package is small, it provides decent light for the trunk. There are no instructions but, it is not too complicated to figure out if you can replace a lightbulb. Here are a few technical details about the product:The strip is about 19.5" inches long. About half way down the strip is a soldered-on pigtail at the 10" mark. The pigtail is about 2.5" inches long.There are 30 LED's on the strip (specified in the product description as well). They are of the 5050 SMD design. LED strip has foam-based sticky tape for better cohesion (as opposed to normal LED strips).The kit comes with two connectors and an extension wire.Festoon type spring load plug and pin type plug. Connectors are 2.5" inches long.Extension wire is 12" long.The festoon bulb is what I had and used the festoon connector. The LED strip is polarity-sensitive, so test which direction the festoon connector should go in.In my case, the existing light was in the center of the trunk, so did not need the extension wire. Everything tucked up into the light socket area when I replaced it. One note of caution, when sticking the tape to the underside of the trunk, don't get it too close to the hole where the existing light facility slides back in, or it could be impacted.I tested the strip prior to install to make sure everything worked (someone noted earlier they had a few of the LEDs not working, in my case everything worked fine).The tape on the LED strip is foam based 3M (at least as labelled) tape. When installed, had good adhesion (unlike traditional LED strips with the paper-think sticky tape). I don't expect this to fail anytime soon.The results were fantastic. As can be seen in the pictures, before and after shots are dramatic (well, maybe that's overkill, but it was pretty cool). This was a great value, and easy project to do. I would recommend to anyone that has a dim trunk light.

Super bright and works great, but the adhesive isn’t the best. I’m probably gonna end up gluing the sides so it doesn’t peel off over time.

Was hoping it was a bit longer,as I wanted a full strip for my trunk for a 2001 Honda Accord. The brightness of the lights were brighter than I ever expected, and the length didn't matter at that point. The connection was finicky, but I adjusted for the spade connector. The strip was real 3M, so adhesion was not a problem. Hopefully it maintains adhesion for a while. But it was bright. Would buy this product again in a heartbeat if I get another ride.EDIT:the old Accord has been sold and this remained in her as a surprise for the new owner (she didn't know I had all the lights converted to LED). But I have ordered another one for my new whip. Same issue with the Acura ILX as with the Accord. The trunk light is not bright enough....So, I "improvised"....waiting for the new strip to be delivered so I can install it, along with the other LED's for the internals (Vanity mirrors, rear map/courtesy, possibly the footwells)....Can't really say enough about this one....BUUT, remove the fuse while replacing this tr prevent the multiplexor from burning out (controls the ILX interior lighting...I blew a fuse when trying to replace the trunk light with a different LED)...decided on this product instead....This product has more LED's on the strip, so it is brighter and longer than other strips I have seen, so definitely order this one, folks!
