Glass recycling is the process by which glass waste is converted into materials that will be used to create new products.

Keep in mind that this recycling allows reducing the amount of waste that is then taken to the landfill, which means savings in both raw materials and energy compared to the manufacture of glass from new raw materials.

THEREFORE, RECYCLED GLASS DOES NOT SUPPORT DRASTIC CHANGES IN TEMPERATURE.

To melt the glass you need a temperature of 1600 degrees Celsius so that it takes a viscous behavior, it can be worked with ease. Very liquid would be impossible to work as well as very viscous. Glass loads are poured into a furnace, then "melting" of the glass begins.

To work the glass, a cylindrical hollow steel tube or cane is used, previously heated at its end, in order to be at the same temperature as the glass and prevent thermal shock, which would make it difficult to adhere to the glass.
