USED for TV for hard of hearing relative - works well
Excellent product. I purchased with "Kinvo BTX 270 Bluetooth Speaker" for my father in law who is very hard of hearing. We used it to connect to the TV and put the speaker next to his chair. He loves it! This is the third time I have rigged up something like this for him and he says he can hear it better than any of the others. The speaker is rather small and that is also nice for his application. Pairing is easy, but make sure you have a USB port on your TV or on a charger or something to power it. Also, if you don't have a 3.5mm stereo jack on your TV, you need an adaptor for female 3.5mm stereo to two RCA jacks. That is what I had to do.I should note that even with Bluetooth 4.0, I still hear a little audible latency. But it isn't too bad. And since the speech is apparently more intelligible at lower volumes with the Kinvo speaker for my father in law, he is able to keep it turned down to a lower volume than previous setups making it not much of an issue for others in the room. Now the neighbors can listen to their own TV again.

Not for use with a Microphone
OK, before you think I'm bashing this product, I'm not... the Miccus TX4 along with the Miccus home tx/rx work excellent if you're just steaming music, but I'm a mobile DJ and needed something to wirelessly connect my speakers across a gymnasium size building, when I played music the sound was AWESOME!!And I would recommend using this as it connected to both miccus rx/tx units without any issues (just follow the instructions). But the latency was not good when I turned on my microphone (if you're not familiar with the term, latency is like an echo... it's how much time between the actual playback and what you hear) the echo was so bad it made the system unusable for my needs and I returned all 3 units, buy this if you need music transmitted wirelessly under 200 ft. Because it works great for wirelessly transmitting laptop or other mp3 player sounds but the latency will not work if you are looking for something to work with a Microphone, I had to bite the wallet hit and by the stealth wireless from Alto to work with my mics... over double the price but it works seamlessly. I really liked these Bluetooth units but they just didn't work for what I needed.

The sound quality is pretty good but only when it's not cutting out by ...
At the moment I am very unsatisfied with this purchase. The sound quality is pretty good but only when it's not cutting out by walking more than 5 feet from the device. It also cuts out when it's in your pocket!I have a very good quality set of apt-x headphones and now there's another issue with the Tx4. It used to connect with no problem, but now it doesn't connect to my headphones (Sony SBH80 with aptx codec) at all. I contacted Miccus and hopefully this issue is resolved, I see a lot of potential in this little device as the quality is pretty great. When the issue is resolved, I will gladly give this 5 stars, but as of yet, I'm unsatisfied.

It works but still room for some improvements.
I was able to pair 2 Big Blue Party Speakers which was great. The device does work as advertised and the speakers sounded great playing MP3's from my iPhone. I do know there is latency from the source to the speaker but when your are just listening to music it doesn't matter much as after the song playing begins who cares that it took 1.5 seconds from the phone to the speakers. That said Imagine TV to speaker/headphones would be as annoying and as noticeable as the old Asian karate movies use to be or speaking into a microphone would cause frustration. This did not effect the sync between the two speakers (as far as I could tell) although I did place the iPhone equal distance between them. The only real reason you knew there was a lag if you unplugged the device the iPhone was ahead of the speakers in what was playing. Like I said that was not a negative to me in the way I was using it. My only knock was that compared to connecting to each speaker individually I felt some noticeable distance was lost in signal range, again by itself it sort of was to be expected but the sensitivity to obstacles (human beings mostly) in its path caused dropouts that did not occur when connecting to either speaker individually (using just the phone and the speaker). This resulted in having to basically keep line of site established which I did by elevating the phone so as people wouldn't walk through and break line of site path. If I could give half star ratings this would have been a 3.5
