Superb piece of kit. Very impressed
Compact portable SSD. Smaller than I expected so ideal for travel. Speedy transfer of photos with plug & play technology. No messy delays when speed and performance are paramount. Highly recommended.

Works as Excpected
What can I say? I wanted a drive to connect to my mobile phone to allow high quality video to be recorded directly on to the drive. Its operation is fast enough to keep up with very high quality video and then it just plugs in to my laptop to transfer/edit the results. Well made, neat and does the job.

Good value and does what it says, recommend. Saved me buying new computer.
Great little drive. Looks really nice and is durable, connects well, my device recognised it and cheaper than upgrading current computer. Good storage capacity and very durable. It compliments the other devices I have by a rival. I do lock my drives away and keeping more than one back up is important. Compatable with my computers.

Good external hard drive
This is a nice, compact external hard drive. I use it for my regular back-ups. The first one I got actually stopped working after six months, but Sandisk replaced it at no cost (although a LONG time to ship it).

Reliable. Fast. Never failed me (except for the cable)
I have this SSD— 1TB version for about 12 months at the time of writing this review. An year later, the ssd works like a charm, still 100% life left on it, never crashed or had any issues. Not with the hard drive anyway. However, the big issue was in fact the cable. Kept disconnecting when transferring even if not touching the hard drive. This was randomly. Tried another cable (a cheap one) and it was doing the same. Both tried with another SSD— same issue. Then I got a high-quality one from Amazon and all issues were fixed. Not once disconnected ever since. The cable could either have lose design when connected to the SSD or the power transfer to be too low (underpowered SSD’s and hard drives often randomly disconnect for this reason) Transferring data is fine and pretty fast. Not always checking the speeds which fluctuates from device to device (used with a windows PC, MacBook and mainly an iPad Pro) but perfect compatibility on ExFAT format. But anyway. Fair enough— one year ago was a bit more expensive, yet, a really good value for your money, both the 1 and 2TB versions. Still pleased with it and fully recommend it. 5 stars and not going to drop just because of a cable.

Fast, durable, and great customer service
Fast, durable, and great customer serviceI got the SanDisk 2TB Extreme portable SSD mainly because the price was really good for this speed and capacity. Before buying, I heard about an issue in one of the older versions of this drive where it could suddenly fail. I contacted SanDisk directly, and they confirmed that my model is not affected by that problem. The drive itself is super fast—copying big files is quick, and it works perfectly with my laptop over USB-C. I also like the rugged design and IP65 rating, so I don’t have to worry much about dust or a bit of water. What impressed me most was SanDisk’s support—they replied to my questions quickly and clearly, which made me feel confident about the purchase. So far, it’s been reliable, and I’m very happy with it.

Expensive, functional, look great
These SanDisk Extreme Portable SSDs are well designed and look great as well as being small and extremely functional. I have found no flaws in my using of them. However, as with all drives, you don’t get the stated 2 TB, 1 TB as stated, but slightly less. This could be considered a scam, but is due to the way manufacturers of drives and operating systems measure storage. Manufacturers use a decimal (base-10) system to market storage (1 TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes), but computers use a binary (base-2) system to calculate it (1 TB = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes). A terabyte is actually 1,000,000,000,000 bytes, but the operating system reads in 1024KB blocks so you end up with it reporting only 931GB and you "lose" 69GB in the conversion. Thus with a 2TB drive it only offers 1862GB, or 1.8TB rounded. There of one may not get quite what you thought you might onto your SSD drives. That said, these little SanDisk drives are great, if but a little expensive. My only criticism would be for a label area to mark them up and easily identify the drive without having to plug them in. Of course one can simple place a sticker on them and mark it accordingly, but it does spoil the aesthetics a little.
