Chapul Cricket Protein Powder (Vanilla, 12-Pack) 10g Complete Protein per Sample, High in Prebiotic Fiber, Low Sugar, 1 Net Carb, Keto-Friendly

I need to add extra liquid because with 8 oz it’s a bit too thick for my liking but honestly love this. I only do 10 grams of protein after working out and whey isolates sometimes irritate my stomach so I was excited when Chapul didn’t.

I like the Chapul bars but wanted to try powder and to my surprise I received expired product. Just for that reason I give one star for the powdered product. Would give a better review if that never occurred.

Unfortunately I didn’t read the ingredient list before purchasing (after having heard about the brand on Shark Tank). While there is 10g of protein in each sampler pouch, there are many different kinds of protein added in with the cricket protein (pea, chia, etc). I have to wonder how much actual cricket protein is in this 10g. While it tastes decent, you can tell there is a good amount of Stevia in it. I would investigate other brands and pass on this one.

Like many powders on the market this one is tooooo sweat because there is added Stevia. Even though Stevia has no calories, it still tricks the pancreas into producing insulin when not needed so you feel like shit later. I usually mix my protein powder into a smoothie with fruit (natural sweetener). Would buy again if no added sugar or sweetener.

It was really good. I wasn’t sure what the expect, but I would totally drink this again. The only weird part is the need to constantly shake it before drinking, but a minor inconvenience for a decent flavor. Pleasant surprise!

I tried the sample pack for fun. Good taste. No weird side effects so I will buy again.

The vanilla is very sweet! I wish they used a lot less stevia. I put lemon juice to cut the sweetness. Have not yet tried the chocolate
