Q: is this cable suitable for an electric shower

Yes this is the size used for electric showers up to 10KW. Remember the shower should have a shower pull switch min 45 amp and shower consumer unit.

Q: Is this cable suitable for Cookers as well?

HiThis cable is good for cookers up to 50amp as well as showers up to 50amp

Q: is 4mm2 enough to power a shed with 6 outlets and a few lights

Depends upon the useage and layout. Check details in the BS 7671 Electrical Installations, 18th Edition. Be safe.

Q: Could any one advice me which is the ideal cable connector for this cable? The 10mm cable I have for my shower is less than 2 meter too short.

If the cable conductor is 10 square mm (often loosely referred to as "10mm" - this is _not_ the diameter) then you should use more of the same (or larger) cable to extend it. There's a table on this page: www cable-ratings.co.uk/ It shows that the installed current rating for this cable could be anything between 39 Amps to 63 Amps. A 30A connector is too small! In practice, 60A is probably (just) adequate. Make sure that the connector is screwed up tighter than tight!
