I switched my Kambaa brand from the one I've purchased in the past at The English Tea Store (TETS) online. I did so because Kambaa comes from (or should) Kenya, but TETS is sourced from China. My hunt for true Kenyan Kambaa led me here. The quality seems good from a visual perspective. It brews cloudier than my TETS Kamba. I don't think it's as malty and smooth as TETS, though. There's an astringency here that some may like, but it's a little unpleasant and distracting to my palate. This, despite varying the steeping time. For those unfamiliar with Kambaa, it is a very strong black tea that looks more like Nescafe than leaves. It brews a reddish brown cup of slightly floral, slightly metallic, and malty tea. I can't drink it without milk and a little sugar. It's a pretty big hit of caffeine, the tea I drink when I want or need a break from coffee. Recommended, but consider alternatives if this isn't quite to your liking.

Misleading —Amazon product page indicates organic ingredients. Package shipped to me does not mention anything organic. Disappointed. This matters a lot to some of us.

If you want Russian Caravan tea and you are expecting an earthy, smoky black tea, I would NOT recommend this tea. This tea tastes like Oolong mixed with nothing else, which is fine if that is what you want. Though you could probably find a better Oolong. This is a poorly-advertised tea

This doesn’t taste anything like a proper Russian Caravan blend. It’s more like some leaves found under a dirty old caravan at a campsite circa 1971. Possibly in Russia but that’s as close as it gets to being a legitimate expression of that delicious tea blend. Not recommended at all.

First bought this tea at a little shop that is now closed. Thought I’d never find it again. I was wrong! It’s delicious. A nice mild creme flavor with the wonderfulness of Earl Grey. The bag is huge compared to what you need to make a good pot of tea. Will definitely buy again

I have been buying a premium lapsang for years, Hu Qwa. but after learning how much pesticide, how many different kinds of poison, are in tea, I decided to try an organic product. And you know what? I like it every bit as much as the fancy stuff.

I have been looking for a Russian Caravan tea that tastes like a brand I use to get.I have to look no more! Great taste and not too smokey flavor.

The first 3 days the delicious smoke smell had TOTALLY desapeared and the tea smells like a cheaper regular tea .Will never buy again 😤😤
