SITUATION: Older MacBook Pro charger stopped working. Inexpensive solution needed. SOLUTION: Purchased this item, along with 100 watt Anker USB C charger. Success. PROS: Works as advertised. CONS: This may be due to the rigid nature of the cable that came with the Anker charger, but it doesn't stay as magnetically secured to the MacBook Pro as the original charger. WOULD YOU RECOMMEND: Yes

failed after 2 months with almost no usage in that time. amazon was kind enough to issue a refund even though I cannot return this item. My recommendation is to look elsewhere.

Works great for my 2014 MacBook Air. Its nice to have to carry just this adapter (along with a USB-C cable and power supply) instead of the charger the one that comes with the MacBook. I haven't found any issue with the magnetic connection like others have reported. Im not saying it doesn't happen, but it hasn't happened to me yet. One thing to keep in mind is that it needs 65 watt charger to work. I doesn't even work with the 30 watt USB-C charger from another MacBook Air. I have a Anker 65 watt Nano charger.

Works for what I needed and saves needing a dedicated MagSafe cord. Can get a little warm if left attached, but nothing unmanageable.

Charges a 2013 MacBook Pro 13” on a 100w charger and matching cable. Nice quality, but it doesn’t sit quite as flush as the OG. A heavy cable could pull it down enough to disconnect, but it won’t detach all the way, just enough to stop charging. Not an issue, but I’ve noticed. Would buy it again if needed

It fits my MacBook perfectly but it DOES NOT CHARGE it! It’s not worth buying.

Worked well for a month or so, but now it’s completely stopped working. The magnet is also very weak and easily falls off

Bought this to use with a 2014 Mac Air as I didn't want to pay more for a replacement power supply than the laptop was worth. Works absolutely fine with a Anker 100W usb-c power supply. Magnet means it pops out occasionally, but I haven't noticed this happen more than the original part. Be careful that your power supply has adequate 'grunt', though - plug your 45W laptop into a 20W iPad supply and it won't like it. The adapter just cycles through the LED colors (presumably to tell you something's wrong) and the laptop doesn't charge.
