Yes, that is an option but seems like using them all in a stacked cake would be lovely!

Can I just purchase the smallest cake tin? The 6" one?

No it has to be purchased as a set.

How many servings for each size?

I always count the tips as two servings and the center I use as the next smallest size (if the Star is 6 inches then the center would be really for me a 4”round and from there I go. Then you do the math. I warranty it would be a little more cake than expected, but not less.

Is this pan set 2, 3 , 4 or 5 inch in height?

The ones I have are 3 inches thick.
