Reliable high-capacity DDR5 kit that just works on AM5
recently installed the Crucial Pro DDR5 96 GB Kit (2×48 GB) 5600 MHz in my rig—running a AMD Ryzen 9 7900X on an AM5 motherboard—and overall I’m impressed. Here’s a breakdown of how it went: ⸻ ✅ What I liked • The installation was straightforward: pop in the two modules, enable EXPO in BIOS and it was immediately recognised at 5600 MHz without fuss. • With an AM5 board, the kit supports AMD EXPO as advertised, which made configuration simpler than some previous generations of memory. • Stability has been rock solid. I’ve been using the PC for mixed work (accounting spreadsheets, content creation, light video editing) and it hasn’t thrown any memory-related errors or weird crashes. • For the price and capacity (96 GB is plenty), it delivers excellent value. If you’re like me juggling productivity, content creation and maybe some leisure time on weekends, having extra headroom in RAM is reassuring. ⸻ ⚠️ Areas to consider • It’s rated at 5600 MHz—good—but on my AM5 board I couldn’t immediately push it much higher without tweaking voltages and timings. If you’re chasing ultra high memory clocks (say 5600- 5800 MHz+), you may need to dial in more advanced settings. • The heat spreader profile is low-profile but still visible—if you’ve got a very cramped case and a large CPU cooler you’ll want to double-check clearance. • If you’re primarily doing gaming and don’t use many RAM-heavy applications, 96 GB might be overkill (though for content creation it gives great headroom). ⸻ 🎯 My verdict If you’re building an AM5 system (such as with a Ryzen 7000 series CPU) and want a no-nonsense high-capacity kit with very good compatibility and stability, this Crucial Pro DDR5 96 GB kit is a strong pick. It ticks the boxes for performance, ease of setup and future-proofing. For my own workflow—part accounting, part content creation, part casual gaming—it gives me peace of mind and frees me up to not worry about running out of memory.

Solid Ram for the price
This for the Crucial Pro 5600 96GB Kit (2 x 48GB) The modules are Micron B Die DDR5 I didnt fancy paying £380 for a 7200 Kit so took my chances with these hoping for around 6000 on an overclock They worked out slightly better than i was expecting They perform best if you dont go crazy overvolting them 1.20V seems to be the sweet spot i wouldnt bother over 1.25V On my Z790 Aorus Pro X these are totally stable at 6400 with the ram voltage bumped from 1.1v to only 1.2v I can boot them at 6600 but they failed Karhu Memory Tester so didnt waste much time further trying 6600 See image for fully stability tested tweaked advanced timings

Works as intended
Quality of this item was perfect. It has been reliable for the past year. Value for money is justified, the read/write speeds is quite high too. It is very easy to install onto the motherboard assuming yours is an am5 motherboard.

Due to the RAM Pocalypse it's not the fastest but it's...
Due to the RAM Pocalypse it's not the fastest but what most people don't realise by watching youtube channels like gamersnexus etc, you wont notice the difference between 5000mhz and 8000mhz DDR5 ram, same was true with DDR4 and DDR3 etc. It works. It was initially detected at 2400mhz, I didn't notice till I was wandering bios for another reason. I then switched to EXPO profile 1 to get the 5600mhz and have not noticed any difference, as expected. It works. Hopefully it lasts and is getting the job done. Work resumes in a few weeks, so stability will be tested then, for the meaning less tasks of reinstalling windows and 100s of other pieces of software it has been fine.

Great memory
Great memory. I was able to setup this memory for 6400 on 36 CL without any difficulties. I was lucky to get this memory for a really good price.

In case your PC is not booting after upgrade
I upgraded from my Corsair Vengence 2x16 GB DRR5 RAM sticks to these, and after installation the Operating System was not booting, even though my PC was powering up. I even tried all the slots and ram combinations, yet still nothing. My pc seems to be only responding to my previous RAM installation, so after some searching online, I thought that I had a defective product. However when I got a replacement, the same thing was happening. It turns out that the RAM is not defective, it's just the BIOS settings needed to be reset back to their factory defaults. Which is kind of a nuisance, and not such a user friendly experience. If you encounter the same problem as me, be sure that is not the RAM sticks at fault, so here is what you are going to do: 1) Consult your motherboard manual and find the JBALT pins to reset your CMOS. 2) Power Off and remove any cables into your PC, including the power cable and the power switch that it comes with your PSU 3) For 30-seconds, hit the Power Button down, from your front panel, where you normally power on and off your PC, to make sure there is no remaining power inside (I don't know if that is a valid requirement, that's what others advised me to do online, but better be safe) 4) Get a Screwdriver (Or if you have a jumper cable, because that is the recommended device to use for this instance, but i didn't have one) and make sure it makes contact with your JBALT pins and hold it for 5-10 seconds (for reference, I have an MSI B650-P WIFI motherboard, and it is located at the bottom right side of it, where there are a row of pins) so it will discharge. 5) Connect everything back together and try booting your PC back again After all that, you will be greeted with a fresh bios boot window and you can access your OS again, without losing any files or data. Afterwards I checked Task Manager and it recognised my 2x24GB DDR5 Crucial Pro Ram sticks at 5200Mhz, so I need to enable XMP profile and manually adjust the speed to 5600 Mhz, to get the advertised maximum speeds. Overall, these RAM sticks will be perfect for my needs, for working with intense compuational tasks for my work, projects, and gaming on the side, and the price for them seems fair for what they promise.
