When used properly, masks with EN149:2001 test certification reliably protect you from dust and liquid clouds getting into your lungs within your respective area of use. In addition to the supporting filter material, they have layers made of electrostatic material (electret). This captures small dust particles and drops of liquid using electrostatic forces. However, the electrostatic thanks effect caused by the vacuum is reduced after a while, resulting in noticeably better breathing resistance. In principle, unless expressly indicated otherwise by manufacturers, they are therefore in principle suitable for use for up to 8 hours per day. Total leakage: no more than 5%, averages no more than 2%. Protection against particles sizes (max. 0.6 μm): at least 99% protection against toxic substances as well as against droplet aerosols, carcinogenic substances, radioactive materials, enzymes, micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, fungi and spores).
